Insym needs a small cartoon Insym that pops up in the corner with a text bubble explaining, for example, how he found the ghost at 1:43. I turned my volume up all the way and I *think* I heard a footstep but I can't tell. That would really help with new players or players who can't watch with earbuds in on max volume every time.

For anyone who is confused about the loadout menu, I believe the confusion comes from everyone thinking it's an item shop + adder. It should be considered a loadout manipulator, u can either modify, add, remove, buy, or sell a loadout. Edit: I think they should add a new tab to the loadout menu, one for shop, one for item manipulation, and one for loadout manipulation

One way to make the shop screen better is to bring back the old system. Simple is always better. I don't even understand why Phasmo needed item presets, the more items you have - the better, there is no minmaxing to require different loadouts, that's my take on it, I really would love to see the old system back

I can get behind it that for some people the shop can feel unintuitive at first glance since it's loadout based, but I'm sure we can all invest 5 minutes of our lives to press some buttons and watch what happens. Especially in a game all about learning if - then behaviour... Remove loadout -> adjust item count -> add loadout. Sure if you only want to change one item it's 2 extra button presses, but at the same time, it only ever is 2 extra button presses cleanly presented no matter how many items you want to adjust. It's a load out system. I'm sure we can all manage 3 step instructions that have no exceptions, ever. That you can adjust what is in the lobby over the shop is useless in my opinion since you still do practically the same as in the loadout screen. In the shop you create a new "loadout" by adding items to your shopping list(the "loadout") that you can now buy or add or remove to/from the lobby itself, IF you own items that you can still add that is. Well it's an option. This doesn't mess with your actual loadout presets. If that is confusing to anyone even after actually spending 5 minutes there, then I can't imagine how bloating the loadout screen with more plus/minus or add/remove options, with different functionality labels, for something you will use once in a blue moon and save 2 button presses on, will help. It's pretty clean, straight forward and minimalistic right now, it might just be a tiny bit different from what some people are used to. I don't see how that warrants a change.

The amount shown with the truck icon is the amount in the truck. On the right where it shows "Owned/loadout" the number on the loadout side is the amount of items you are INTERACTING WITH when you click ADD or REMOVE. So you use the + and - under the item to change the loadout number. X/3 (owned/loadout) means you will add or remove 3 of that item when you press add or remove. The unfortunate part is that the player interacts with the WHOLE list of items. So you have to set every item's owned/loadout to X/0 if you want to edit the amount of a specific item being brought on the mission.

you should do this in multiplayer and someone at random is chosen to make the most difficult game possible up to a certain reward multi like 5x or 6x. that way, you can suffer as a team when someone cranks the ghost difficulty to the max. would be even more chaotic if no one knew the ghost settings.

UI Design is hard, but making a UI for a shop screen where you can assign loadouts is not hard, no need to reinvent the wheel here, pick any game from the top of your head that has a loadout system and you can tweak it a little bit and use it for something like phasmo. They tried to reinvent a loadout system and they clearly weren't ready for it

here's my suggestions of the loadout stuff: 1. make it so that when you click on the + for an item it adds that item to the truck and when you press the - for an item it removes the specific item from the truck 2. remove the buy, sell, add and remove buttons from the screen 3. have a dedicated shop screen where you can buy and sell items that way you can customize you loadout as needed without any of the current confusion, if you want to add all items there's a specific tab for it already currently the + and - functions the way it does so you can have the number of items selected and then have the option to buy, sell, add or remove the number selected but its honestly so unclear. you also have this owned items screen which kinda has no real purpose from what i can tell so that could just become the shop screen instead. having a dedicated shop screen will remove the need of how the + and - functions currently so you can make the changes i suggested without running into issues.

Shop idea: add a button next to the loadout button along the top to toggle over to "truck inventory" so you can click +/- to modify individual items. So... basically like the old system, but just there as an option for minor tweaking. This would improve intuition over the current system bc clicking - would remove, instead of the + then remove system.

I feel the way they should change the loadout screen is fairly simple, and they *almost* have it right already. First, you have the shop/storage tab, in that screen you buy/sell items, no adding/removing from van. They should also add presets here so you can buy "sets" of items quickly, no more smart "oh if you have 1 and you want 4, you'll only buy 3 unless that 1 is in the van, then you'll buy 4" nonsense. Just a dumb shopping list, "i want to buy 25 cameras, 4 lighters and a smudgestick" as a preset, and you can buy however many you want. This tab also shows how many of each item you have in storage, but nothing about what's in the van. Next, you have the loadout tab, what's shown there is what *you* add to the van for the next run, and how that compares to the max you can take, no more buying/selling items, no more "auto add" bs that only adds the items after you come back from a mission. What's on this screen is what you intend to put in. Finally, the main "equipment list" should have 4 columns to show which player actually adds which items, instead of comparing to max count. This is where it shows "oh, you were going to add 3 candles based on your loadout, but the top-right player was also going to add 2 based on theirs, so you'll both add 2 instead", that way you'll also know who is at risk of losing what if they get killed. Perhaps that could work something like this: ↖|↗|↙|↘ 2+ | 2 | 0 | 0

Well, I generally have no problems with the shop, but it doesn't change that it's super confusing like you said. So I have a suggestion for the shop, because if devs read a streamer's comments, they'd probably read these. If there were separate windows for storage, shop and loadout. Buy and sell buttons would only be in the shop window, add and remove buttons only in the loadout, no buttons (I can think of) in the storage window, that's just for an overview over your possessions, maybe an overview over loadouts, too. And it would be cool if you could type the number of items you'd want to buy or add etc. Furthermore, don't remove the option for multiple loadouts, but it would be nice if you could name them. For example "solo", "duo", "no optional items" etc.

I saw a video where a guy put the ghost writing book down right where the ghost did an event and it immediately wrote in the book, you should try to test that out

so, the inventory shop screen. i havent gone into the game to confirm, but based on observation, heres how I beleive it works. When you hit the minus or plus buttons under the items, you are picking how many you want to move. Think of it when you want to delete emails on your phone, you hold on one to get the selection mode, you tap all the emails you want to delete, and then you hit trash, and it deletes them. Same principles. Thats why when you hit - on all the cameras, and then hit remove, it removed everything except the cams. Everything was on max except the cames, you said i want to move everything, and 0 cams, and then hit remove. so, you select how many of each items you want to add, or subtract in a single go, and hit either add or remove. You cannot add some, while removing others. you can just go " i want, 3 cams, and tripods, an EMF, two crucifixes, and add" and it would add exactly those.

I once found an Oni cuz it liked me alot and did full ghost model 100% of the time and evented almost constantly And then found a shade because it started a cursed hunt using the Shadow model

the store/loadout screen is annoying, but with a little work it is understandable. the plus and minus on the items is to adjust the number that you either add or remove to the current loadout once you hit the corresponding button in the bottom right of that screen. Auto-add is just a nice feature that people with tons of stored up cash like you can use by having bought around 15-25 of each item. A confusing issue that show up is the base items that are in a basic loadout as there is always 1 always in the loadout. The number on the top left of the items is the amount to be done with either remove or add. the number in the top right is the current amount in the truck/the max amount of the item you can take into a round.

That's just straight forward hahaha "Hello I would like to remove 0 cameras" and then when the game removes 0 cameras: Surprised pikachu face It does need simplifying, particularly the going back and forth between loadout and shop but it's not THAT hard.
