3:36 Glitch in the Matrix...
4:09 I am not sure if that sound was from water or something else. It was a Belgian road...
4:12 After 11 years of no-claim this stupidity damaged 2 rims and the front suspension (all fixed). In the end I only 1 shot made the edit...
4:20 It is normal here to drive on the emergency lane, when indicated above the road. It is a solution to the rapid growing amount of traffic. This car seemed to have stalled.
4:26 Here the open-to-traffic emergency lane changes to an exit. This car too ignored the open emergency lane and then took the exit very late.
4:45 This is collected packaging material that was of course put into the plastic bin afterwards.

Posey- Watching your videos leads me to believe that I’m in a brighter timeline, where not only can people successfully share their perspective, but also their soul. The fact is, your entire channel makes me feel like I’m somehow watching the future. Your videos seem to have a profound ability to take in anyone hunting for “content” and leave them wanting for art. With your own unique lens perfectly focalized on the matter at hand, I honestly think you could do more for infotainment than Carl Sagan, and more for the Camera than Wes Anderson. @@iea96 y'all are just getting ripped off by your mechanics. And or you are taking the car to the manufacturer (which is 1 of the absolute worst ideas that you can have). But too though it's not usually actual mechanics that are ripping you off, it's whatever garage you are taking it too, the garage will probably charge you at minimum €50 an hour for labour. Whereas they might not even be paying their mechanic that's actually doing the work, minimum wage. So many garages are greedy bastards, and nowadays they do nothing but complain that they can't find any mechanics to work for them, not realizing that they themselves are the problem. Why would a mechanic work for you when they can do less than half of the hours working for themselves and make either the same or twice as much. It's the same in every industry nowadays. Oh and aswell you should watch for how much you are being charged for parts and what brand of parts are being used. Alot of places are extra greedy and will upcharge you on the price of the parts (usually they only do it if you're being a dickhead though). For example if a part is €45, they'll charge you €50/€55. Most actual mechanics themselves aren't bad or even like that, it's normally just businesses being greedy pigs.

Alfa Romeo is truely a machine of passion. An Alfa can make even someone largely uninterested in cars, living in a country that's as hostile to cars as it gets, fall in love with driving, form a bond with the man in a way very few inanimate objects can. Enjoy this bond, and cherish it.

Sometimes I would catch a glimpse of it on my front yard and just for a moment I got a rush of "Ooh, what is that!?". My mate, Roly, told me the same when I said I was thinking of getting one... Ah my man, the alfa romeo 159, the most beautiful car that there is. I own a sedan 2.2 jts black version with red interior. It is such a masterpiece and every trip with it is so special. It is my first car, after I passed my driving exam I was looking to buy a cheap golf, for a long time I looked and looked, but when I first saw 159 alfa, it was love in the first sight. It truly is a love hate relationship, but i love it so much, the sport handling and braking has saved me so much times, and oh, the community. It is so nice to greet other alfa's, it is like a family. I'm 17 and going for my Ps test soon. The plan is for me to either get my dads 2017 RAV4 or some (currently undecided) other second hand car. The RAV4 is nothing special, you get in it, go to your destination and get out, that's it. But it's the memories in these cars that mean the most. Our old 2001 Corolla hatch (sold in 2015) was a staple in our family, my mum had it, then when she got a new car in 2008 my dad got it. This car was by no means exciting, but it's the memories that make it so special. this car saw me grow from a new born to being 11 years old. It saw new friends, new pets, new places, it endured countless times of abuse, but it kept going on like any Toyota would. Truly a great car, not one day goes past without me seeing one and thinking about it.

I've seen a lot of videos about cars and only a bit of them are able to transmit the joy and passion like you do in this video. The majority of them use car guy music which is like a soup without salt but you use your own music and you craft the whole video around it, this definitely taught me about the role of the music in a product, whether it is a movie or a simple youtue video. American here, with, in a way the opposite car, but with feelings similar to yours. I was broke, and had little money, but I needed a new car as basically not having one in my position would be impossible here. (my commute to school for example would be almost five hours round trip by bike.) Since I didn't have much money, I had to buy something sensible. I still wanted to have some level of fun of course, and that's when I found out about the Yaris iA. A little 2430lb curb weight car in a country where cars are about 2x as heavy and 2x+ as much horsepower. It's slow, far to small for this country and yet somehow incredibly fun and perfect for me. I've had to borrow someone's car for right now while it's having some major repairs, and oh my gosh do I miss it. Every single day, it brought me so much joy. A bigger car, a a hybrid would probably be better for me day to day, but it wouldn't put a small on my face like this car. It's not fast, but it's quick around corners and makes you feel confident driving.

Love-hate relationship is the perfect description of driving Alfa Romeos. Each single one of them. I had Alfas for 20 years, 146, 164, 166... Yours doesn't have the legendary Busso engine anymore. But I guess there is still enough of that special Alfa feeling in there. For me the 164 3.0 Super was the highlight. It accelerated right when you put your foot on the pedal, no lag, immediately, you felt it in your neck. It was frighteningly fast, around 270 kph. It a big old Saloon covered in 80's aesthetics buttons and green displays, and incredibly comfortable leather seats. Nothing of that mattered in particular. But when I was not in that car I wanted in, and when I was in it I didn't want out. I often took it for a drive, just for fun. Sometimes I just went down from my flat in the 5th floor, to sit in it and read a book. When it was broken I was heartbroken and when it sounded a little off i immediately brought it to the garage. And there was this magical spot on the rev counter where the sound and the vibrations just... I was never a car person, not even as a kid, I never knew that a car could get under your skin so much. But that was the old Alfa magic. I hear that they have lost it since, making expensive toy cars.

Damn, that really summs up what owning an Alfa Romeo is. The first car I bought was a Mito, everytime I saw it, I was smiling, when driving it, my head was clear and all my problems where far away, and I was just enjoying the precious moment I had. But at the same time, I hated this car so much, the precise and fragile engineering, the low bottom plate, the rought 2nd gear, the fuel consumption, the tiny storage in the back, and so on. But still, I loved this car with all my heart. What an incredible experience

When I was in secondary school I was obsessed by the 159 SW. I thought that it was simply the best looking 'normal' car ever made and I nagged for years to my dad in the hope i'd persuade him to buy one. That unfortunately didn't happen, but ever since I always thought; If i'll ever be able to own one I have made it. I'm 26 now and last august I needed to swap my '04 Ford Fiesta 1.4 Petrol for something more comfortable and better suited for long driving because of my job as a vision engineer in television. Obviously I started with your average down sized diesel economy boxes. But then I came across a beautiful 159 SW Ti in white and I just had to get it. This video encapsulated the exact way about owning and driving this car. Still, every day whenever I walk up to it's stupidly low nose my jaw nearly drops. I was lucky enough to have parents who bought me an absolute monster of a car. It's 2 door sports cabriolet. A car so unique and yet it isn't. A car so low that it scrapes quite often. A car that is not practical for the city and yet it kinda is. A car that sends power to the right wheels, the rear ones. A car that makes it worth searching for a reason to go out and drive. A car that is simple and somehow really reliable. A is old enough to have pop up headlights and young enough to have ABS and even Airbags. A car that puts a smile on your face. A car so masculine that chicks just wanna ride with you all the time... Okay maybe not that last one. A car so powerful that I almost crashed a few times. How powerful you may ask? 90 buff horses... So what is that car? It's a 1997 Mazda MX-5 (not a Miata because it's European, but 99% the same) Mazda pretty much reinvented the roadster with this lil thing and I own the first generation of it. It was and still is my dream car. It's soo good and perf... HEY, You who are reading the comment. Stop laughing at my dreams okay? I don't need a lot to be happy... Where was I? Oh yes. It teaches you to be a good driver. You can push it to the limit and know that you are at the limit and then maybe a bit beyond that where you will be punished but that is really your fault. I've done it multiple times and some of those were scary, but the car also saved me because it taught me how to prevent something too bad from happening. I can talk for hours about it tbh, maybe even days. But my point is. Aim low and you won't be disappointed. No that is not my point. My point is that if have a car that you get so attached to that you don't want to sell it then you bought something special for yourself. My car's price was so cheap it should have been illegal to sell it for that money for the amount of joy it brought me thus far. So there is a point that you don't need an expensive car to have fun as well. Well maybe you do but not everyone does. So my advice is: If something... Doesn't need to be a car. If something makes you as passionate and happy like I am, you won. If you think you know it would make you this happy, but you don't know if you should buy it. Buy it. If you can buy then buy and don't let your thoughts eat you from the inside with questions like: "What if it really was the thing that would solve all my problems?" Well it wont solve all your problems but you should at least try it. You can always sell it if it's not for you but at least you know and can search for the next thing that might bring you this joy. :) Also back to my car again. Kids love looking at it which brings a smile to my face because I know what it was to be one of those kids. So maybe this is a small hint on where to look if you are not sure what exactly could be your joybringer. :D

Perfect description! I'm a Alfa fan also! I own that masterpiece 159 SW 3.2 V6 Q4 (2007)and a Mito. Yeah ,the 159 consumption is porn...but i forget when driving it I just love those those! On winter(Nordic country)the Q4 works and helps perfectly !!!!I could exchange those 2 for a Giulia Velloce (2.0 280 CP Q4)(plus money difference from my side),and I still cannot decide....159 its special! I'm happy that Alfa's is not for everyone...

Swell video. I have an 03 530i m sport, an 05 166 v6 3.0 Busso and a 156 sportwagon 2.0 manual in Alfa Red over tan interior. The 156 needs work, ac is shot and paint is gone, but it's still my favourite somehow. Alfa Romeo nailed the sportswagon design with the 156 and 159.

I also own a 1750 in Ti form. The low bottom plate kills me every day! Especially here in South Africa with our horrible roads :( I've even investigated if the non-Ti springs fit, they do BTW. But then I get out and look at it. OMG, I'm in love again! Everyone stares at you when you drive it to the shops. Love my car, won't sell it. EVER

It's really hard when you have two cars like that and one has to go in storage for the winter. I love both of mine. One is a similar, red, Manual, low, quick coupé. I'm not sure what is called in Europe, Honda TL or TSX maybe? But like I said, red, low, MT (rare here), 3.5L V6, summer tires, you know the type. The other is a modified Prado 120 (gx470 in the US where I am) built for off roading.... and where I live is rural with lots of places to use its capability. It's a good problem to have lol. Drive fast and enjoy it. In a few years there won't be any more Manuals or cars without nanny tech to stop speeding or spirited driving.

This is a tremendous video. From someone who has owned at least seven Alfa Romeo cars, it’s always good to see why we put up with them. They can be beautiful cars and so wonderful to drive, but the dealerships are horrible. 👍

Not an Alpha but there are two cars I fell in love with. The Mondeo Mk3 of my parents, though that may be colored since it was my first often driven vehicle and my current W203. I got it after searching an awful lot of time for a good fully specced out car below 5k€. At first I wasn't so sure on it's looks but it has grown on me and I love to drive it. I feel lucky clocking in at 40km/anno. My green concious voice in my head just shrivels when driving.

my first car lasted as special for 2 years. i kept it for 7. my second car is already at 2 years and doesn't seem to be getting old anything soon. there's just something about pressing the gas throttle on the v6 and the way it actually goes when you do that, while sounding awesome, that never gets old.

I have a 2010 159 1750tbi. It's still the best looking sedan/wagon ever made for me. It's also the most reliable Alfa Romeo, at the cost some "soul". But man does it stand out in the endless seas of Golfs, BMW 3er and Audi A4s. It's also surprisingly comfortable. Performance wise, the 1750tbi has torque everywhere, minimal turbo lag which makes really fun to drive. And the chassis corners real flat. Best buy I've ever made.

As a bella machina, it's a beautiful machine. Beautiful enough to ignore it's flaws. You are a design guy, not a car guy. As evidenced by plenty of beauty shots and 0 engine sound. P.S.: By saying you're not a car guy, bacause you dislike traffic, you imply car guys love traffic jams. Which is of course ridiculous. Nobody likes being stuck in traffic.
