Así es mi estimado, lo más adecuado es usar el adaptador correcto pero cuando no se tiene una ferretería cerca se puede usar este método para salir del apuro, saludos cordiales!

For best results, there is normally a blur or pink solution gel stuff that comes with those glues that you apply first....

The blue or pink stuff,is actually a cleaner and catalyst for the glue to properly cure. The color of the primer/ catalyst is required on all p.v.c. plumbing projects that will be inspected; there is a clear/ colorless primer/ catalyst for projects that are not inspected, and there are several types of glue that have the catalyst added and are approved by most state and municipal inspectors.

The second ‘fix’ doesn’t make sense. That is a gated ball valve. The only purpose the washer serves is to prevent water leaking out between the coupling and the main body when the gate is turned to the position to allow water to flow.

a 3/4-1/2 PVC adaptor will do the same thing and cost less than that metal clamp.

Cleaning the pipe with sandpaper is not proper since it will create scratches and lead to possible leak. Acetone/pipe cleaner will soften the pvc and create a strong bond. I’d skip the sandpaper and just glue if cleaner not available

Es más fácil poner la llave hembra así no hubieras cortado la cuerda eso en una tubería con alta presión gotea aparte cristalizan la flexibilidad del tubo en caso de temblores

Al momento de cambiar por otra lleva ya no va poder usar lo mismo obvio pero es mejor la tubería de cobre para gas calibre del bueno y té dura mucho más tiempo y ahorrar mucho tiempo y dinero qué estar caminando tuvo PVC.

Do not use Teflon tape on gas a small piece could stop your pilot and cause you more problems if you do the whole system with Teflon many chances for tape to get the gasvalve problems GAS companies do not support using Teflon tape

Tal vez el error del dueño del canal es no especificar que lo que muestra en el video son soluciones temporales a situaciones como las que se muestran. Al menos en donde vivo las ferreterias dejan de laborar los sábados en la tarde y domingos todo el día, asi que entiendo perfectamente la frustración de no contar con la herramienta y material adecuado a la mano y tener que esperar hasta el dia lunes para poder comprarlo, a veces hay que actuar y hacer "remiendos" para despues darle una correcta y duradera solución. Agradecería y creo seria genial que hicieras tutoriales para soluciones mas duraderas ya que muchos usuarios usaran tus videos como soluciones definitivas y no como lo que son algunos, hacks y soluciones temporales. Saludos

Pues ahí serie mejor comprár el adaptador, esto puede ser de utilidad en lugares lejanos a la ciudad donde no hay ferretería esto puede servir y no es necesario usar una abrazadera se puede sustituir con un trozo de alambre amigo
