Sorry for the 1. Upload with terrible bitrate audio. 2. Not realizing the upload was public when I was traveling all day. 3. Reupload pinging you again with the notification. BUT! I did find that something had apparently changed over at KZfaq where AAC audio (their preferred format) in an MP4 file seems to get "Napstered" with compression. I filed an extensive bug report, but if you have an audio-related channel: for now, Linear PCM is the way to go.

I have a different approach... 70 years old and have struggled with crap hand-me-down acoustics for many years. When Covid hit I decided to really take up guitar. I am too old to accumulate many more guitars to play with tones. I decided to spend $2000 on a strat version to play with all the tones. Very happy with this. Enjoy watching guys who can really play on the acoustasonic. Awesome Post!

Hey Benn, great video. Thank you. I sold my Gibson J200 to get an acoustasonic strat for greater versatility and better intonation all the way up the neck. I finf it really inspiring as an instrument. Love it. Well done Fender indeed.

Hi Benn I really love your videos ! Could you make a video about how you go through designing synth sounds? Like what do you imagine when you first start a patch, what do you think of when you are shaping the sound...? Anyways really eye opening videos, keep 'em coming!!! ;)
@arturradomyski259 Жыл бұрын
that would have to be a video about one particular piece of gear as each synth has different workflow. and there are many of these, i.e. the hydrasynth video, the polybrute video etc

The Acoustasonic sounds like it would be a great choice for capturing a fleetwood mac-esque sound. Hard to get some of that Lindsay Buckingham sound without nylon.

maybe they'll be super-nice after this & send you a lefty strung upside down. seriously, I felt that what might be missing on the strummy bits of the demo was the chestiness of the low strings being struck before the high strings. would be interesting to hear it strummed the other way...
@WarrenPostma3 жыл бұрын
Am I the only one who can't listen to dry guitar and get any idea of if I like the sound of it, without copious post-production reverb? (The reverb added versions sound wicked) I realize that drenching this demo with reverb would ruin it for all of you who have actual ability to hear guitar sonic quality without reverb. All the strumming sounded awful to me, but the arpeggiated or finger picked stuff sounded ace. I think I quite like everything this guitar does when your fingers touch it and don't like what it does when its hit with a pick. Maybe all I'm disliking is that set of strings. IDK.
@officialWWM Жыл бұрын
The strumming sounds terrible because of that stupid upside down lefty technique of his!

Fender: Great guitar...but not a 2k guitar. If it had a street price of 800 USD I could see alot of sales happening. But in this economy, in a world where streaming pays 0.003 cents per play...only non-professional musicians can afford 2k guitars. Love your past, and hope for a long and storied future for Fender.

tl;dr a bunch of wackos left aggressive comments and the clinic caught wind of it, and told him he couldn't do the video series anymore if he wanted to take part in the trial because they didn't want the heat. i might be missing a couple details but that's the gist.

The only main problem it an acoustic guitar when recorded would not be using a pickup inserted into the guitar. Maybe for a live not for a studio setup. Recording the dreadnaught miced up would beat the fender "Acoustasonic" every time.

Indeed. He says as much in the video.

on the battery vs recharge thing... you can swap a battery in a couple minutes, recharging takes a while. unless the fender can also work plugged into external power of course.
@SyntheticFuture3 жыл бұрын
Depends on the power draw but it wouldn't surprise me if you could use a power bank to charge it while playing.
@rhlindsey3 жыл бұрын
The Fender can be played and charged simultaneously. It may be a bit inconvenient, with two cables running from the guitar jack. But it is possible, in a worst case scenario.

@simccaffrey3 жыл бұрын
@@VirtualModular Not quite, Hendrix played a righthand guitar restrung as a lefthand; which a lot of lefties used to do given availability...it's more rare to see someone play a guitar with the strings upside down...in fairness, you avoid all the intonation problems/costs etc. that occur converting a lefthand to a righthand, besides structural issues with acoustics...so maybe it's not a bad idea! But then you completely change both lefthand and righthand technique...muting must be a nightmare...
