So marvelous! I remember the dolls' houses from a previous convention and it is great to see Susan speaking again! What a marvelous doll! One note: the miniature maps of England and Scotland are oriented with the East at the top, instead of the North. This was a normal European way of designing "world" maps in the Middle Ages, before exploration made it clear that there was a whole lot more to the world than the Mediterranean. I did not know that maps from the 18th century would be made with this orientation (orient=East).

You and your Little Prince Charlie are fantastic. I’m related to the Stuart line. My Grandfather immigrated to Canada from Scotland. My Father loved Bonnie Prince Charlie. We still make the Christmas pudding and have bashed neeps for Christmas dinner. It is mashed rutabegas eaten with the haggas dinner. Your knowledge of the history is fantastic. Are you Scottish? My Grandmother was a Stuart.

WOW:)!! Rachel, I have learned so much about British History:)!! I have heard of the Jacobites, but I did not know about all this History, other than King Henry the 8th bring Protestantism to England. I so LOVE that Prince Boonie Charles ( the young pretender) and his yellow quartz stone on his derk with his other sword's lighter hilt:)! I also LOVED the the antique clothing and the beaded flowers, symbolizing the Jacobites:)!! And his Medallion with the Red X was interesting as much as his gorgeous pocket watch with his Fleur De Le France Symbol:)!! And I was so impressed by that mystery chest with those gorgeous lace medieval baby gloves and other intricate lace patterns:)!! And while I was taking in all this history, I kept thinking I can see why our Forefathers of the Constitution of United States wanted in power a "separation of Church and State" considering all the battles over religion in English history. Thank you so much, Susan Dossetter for sharing your beautiful Boonie Prince Charles Doll and giving us a detailed history lesson on England and the Jacobites:)!! And thank you Rachel for having Susan Dossetter as one of your many awesome Doll Collectors on your Channel:)!!!

This is an absolutely fabulous presentation. Worth the price of admission to the virtual doll show! Susan, I actually have a blanket (they call it a "rug") of Balmoral plaid. Happy to share a photo if you are interested. I love all of your sub collections. I have many of these too and Queen Victoria is one. Thank you for all of your efforts in sharing your amazing collection.

What an incredible doll's collection. All the bits to add to a singular, and very special doll, adds to increase the beauty...not just a doll but the whole world of the doll. Okay, so not so well said, here. But I loved this. It's a part of history I know well and to see the real artifacts with it makes it all the more special to see. Thank you so much! I'd actually love to hear the history of the doll itself, now. :)
