people needs to evaluate Chuck's "POINT" instead of looking and attacking him for being ringless. _"Attack the message, not Chuck"_ i agree with Chuck. They have the BETTER health & training, facilities, more skilled, more athletic, way MORE SALARY compare to their *underpaid* forefathers and here they are wanting less games, less loads.

I'm not a Charles Barkley fan, but I agree with some of what he said about load management. East & West teams only play each other twice during the regular season. A guy out on "load management" for the whole game shouldn't be allowed. Yes, these guys have it easier than those of Charles's generation; however, Charles had it easier than Bill Russell and Wilt Chamberlain. That's life. Basketball is a big-time business now. Charles should also be grateful for his position as well.

If these millionaires' excuse for putting forth little to no effort in the game is the fear of getting injured, then just scrap the all-star weekend altogether! It's insane and totally unacceptable when one team scores over 200 points!

I love how Stephen A kept trying to push Chuck in a certain direction trying to get him to say what everyone else is saying and crap on today's generation and Chuck just spoke honestly and spoke facts. I'm not saying I don't like the fact that the All Star game isn't competitive anymore but Chuck is right, there's alot more to lose now, and little to gain, those guys are gonna compete in the playoffs anyway and make money, so why risk getting injured? I'm not saying they shouldn't compete and play defense, I'd like that, but maybe it's time to restructure All Star Weekend in general. Maybe the League has to adjust to today's players, not the other way around.

Its not even like they have to play the whole game just 20 minutes over 65 games that equates to 1300 minutes which is just over a week of basketball spread over 8 months. Just crazy when you see how much some are being paid, when you see a player like Jalen Brown being paid 60 million per season that's over 46k per minute..... madness.

Those fools are out there comparing playing on the NBA to slavery. Soft as hell. They need to lock out for a year and go back to the drawing board. Tie their pay to winning and actual games played. Guarantee you they will play even when actually hurt. That's what real men do. They get out there and get after it.

Solution to All Star Game. The Losing Team the Entire Conference has 25% of the salary go to charity...Every player in the Conference. So that way they playing not to lose money from their own salary and they accountable to the players on their teams/conferences who didn't make the All Star Game, because they don't won't to lose money either Now they have something to lose. The players already afraid to lose money, so make it where they lose the game they lose money

I believe the ultimate goal of many players is to become a billionaire. It's actually a reasonable goal. Only LeBron is a billionaire now, but the rest are on track. If you're making 100s of millions and you invest that wisely, you can definitely pass the billion mark at some point, even if it takes until your 50s. So All Star now is a bunch of billionaires having a light jog. At least be funny with it, at least have banter. Some of these guys are too cool to even do that. Lillard can't even crack a smile.

Gov Cuomo's case is 100% political. The guy is a bully and he isn't my favourite, BUT I've never seen a hit job like this where someone is completely denied ANY due process. As someone who follows cases for fun, it's comical. First of all, the fact that AG deemed him "guilty" (without evidence), and then immediately ran for Governor should scream red flag. The NY pols made it clear that he would be impeached. Meanwhile, multiple DA's dropped the cases because majority didn't amount to what AG described, and the one that did, was ultimately dismissed. That whole report leaves so many unanswered questions, and the fact that the AG is fighting back so hard from releasing the full report to Cuomo & his attorney screams fishy. The DOJ also did not reach out to Cuomo & his staff for a proper investigation. I saw a couple articles recently from journalists, who are picking up on this questioning why he hasn't been given due process. Am I saying that I think he is completely innocent...no? I think he is from a certain generation, and he needs to get with the times, but until that full report is released and can be accessed, I'm not going to jump on the bandwagon just yet.

I gotta rant because it's upsetting. Basketball was GREAT in Barkley's era. Now, it's nothing but a shadow of its former self, rolling over in its grave. It's becoming discernable from the WNBA for Christ's sake! Take away "dunking", and it's there. I'm sorry but, it's no longer watchable. The lack of sportsmanship is astounding. I have to go back and watch old games again to get my fix. Something's gotta give because right now, it's all take. The NBA died with Kobe. R.I.P.
