Hi, this is me from the future. I just want to leave a note for my past self: Dude, watch this series when it comes out! You *will* need to know this stuff in the future (trust me on this). Besides, as tutorials go, it is lean and to the point. A most excellent guide to the new Mantaflow. Compliments to Mr. Cheebs on a job well done.

Thanks this tutorial was helpful and really easy to follow! :) I just wanted to say that i dont have a "bake" button so that threw me off but it seems to bake itself if i press play (spacebar)- in case anyone else is having the same issue!

I got a question my simulation works on replay but when I switch to modular my domain gets the waters surface and turns to glass. Any clue what's going on

Thank you very much for this great tutorial. When i try to bake the domain object will be rendered again as a box, so i can't see inside of it. Do you have an idea what is the problem in my case?

I think i know whats the problem. Blender changed the view mode back to solid and not wireframe. Looks like a bug to me.

How do you turn the particles into a solid thing to render with textures?

If you're referring to the liquid itself, you just have to bake the mesh in the domain settings. For spray, foam, and bubble systems, you can go to the particle settings and set them to render as an object. And for the fluid itself, you'll want to switch it's display type back to solid from wireframe once the data is baked into a mesh.

@@MrCheebs Thank you so much, but I already figured it out, I am an idiot. I forgot to press the bake mesh button. Also, Here is my preferred water shader with nodes Glass BSDF with roughness 0.8 Transparent BSDF Both of those going into a mix shader Together it makes a really realistic water shader.

I literally couldn't find mesh menu in fluid. Please some one correct me if I am doing something wrong.
