The Hotstar and Instagram issues are due to the apps themselves and not due to Xiaomi. I get the same issues on my Galaxy Tab S7.

I use an iPad and it doesn’t support instagram full screen. Its in a small phone size box.😂 Tiktok has a issue that it most of the time doesn’t work landscape.

I had the first Mi tablet, that thing went from me to my uncle, to his daughter, to then another cousin of mine and lastly to my niece, it's still working. The nvidia Tegra1 was amazing on that thing. Loving this tab's specs too. Ppl underestimate MIUI, the simple fact that u can switch profile simply based on which password u entered is fking brilliant and makes it such an amazing tablet for any family.

You will need to enable some settings in the developer settings. Like freeform windows, force windows to be resizable etc. Then all the apps can be used on floating windows.

6:52 On my device (it has MIUI), if I flick the floating window, when it is pinned at the corner (just like here 5:54), the floating window disappears and the app gets minimized in the background.

6:25 : I think you can force enable this for all apps in developer options, the setting is called "force activities to be resizable". Let me know if this works

@@mxhxsh Well it does work with split screen mode, unlocks it for all apps, so that's why I suggested it, maybe it works with floating windows too.

I was looking for an android tablet i came up with xiaomi pad 5 but recently an new xiaomi pad 6 or pad 5 pro might release in upcoming month if that so should i buy the table or i wait for the new to come as it is expected to be in same in price. You can use some nice ADB commands to get rid of that gesture bar at the bottom. here is the command below. adb -d shell settings put global hide_gesture_line 1 If you need to add it back, just use this command below. adb -d shell settings put global hide_gesture_line 0

Its a pretty nice tablet. I purchased it on the first day of the sale. Used it for many things including as a second display for my PC. Works brilliantly. I specially like the battery life. The best android tablet under 28K.

Some apps are not optimised for Android tablets like bgmi feels like the app got stretched to cover the aspect ratio.

I am using it for content consumption and for making some notes trust me it's damn good. The software is good but obviously it can't beat ipads but yah it's very good haven't experienced any lags or jitters also 120hz is smooth man

I need a tablet to replace my daily work in windows laptop for teaching purposes. Tablet should be able to connect to projector and compatible to statistical software as well. Try using gaming mode for apps in which you will use floating apps.

The volume slider should be added in the control centre. That’s the only thing I’ve found missing and bothered me while using.

Android has developer options that forces floating windows on all apps...may cause some.apps to crash but I think you will be ok.

It does support HDR but the problem is that the scenes which are DARKER are not visible at all. Look at 06:27.

I always use chrome in a floating window since I have this redmi phone, but I think it was since January or February,when the chrome updated, it can't use floating window anymore
