- Pasta (9 ounces or 250 grams)
- Olive oil
- Salt
- Onion
- Garlic
- Minced meat (a mixture of beef and pork) (14 ounces or 400 grams)
- Oregano
- Pepper
- Paprika
- Eggs (3)
- Sour cream (1 ounce or 30 grams)
- Mayonnaise (1 ounce or 30 grams)
- Cheese (7 ounces or 200 grams)
- Cherry tomatoes (8-12)
- Red onion
- White wine vinegar
- Avocado
- Mozzarella cheese (4 ounces or 120 grams)
- Lemon juice
- Paprika

Putting oil in your pasta water, is a "no no" ! it may help your pasta to keep from sticking, but it will also keep anything from absorbing into the pasta. You don't need oil. Frequent stirring will keep your pasta from sticking ! Forgo the oil. Your pasta dish will turn out much better without it ! You want your pasta to absorb all the goodness from the sauce you have made.

Both casserole & salad look scrumptious! Thanks for posting, and especially giving Tablespoons, teaspoons, cups etc. measurements. Its always difficult for me to figure out quantities if the measurements are metric. Also, my eyes don't work like they used to, (i turned 75 this year) so i appreciate that you speak the ingredients. 😂 I'm in Washington State, in the very "top" Northwest corner of the USA. Hey from West Texas! It's 2:30 a.m. and I'm ravenoud AND I've been on a diet for almost 6 months.... No pasta, no bread, no white flour anything, no sugar....... I think it needs cheese in the layers, such as ricotta, like a lasagna would have. And, yes, it needs some tomato sauce or something! And i just ate a salad kind of like that this evening!!!

I shall be giving this a try this evening. I have to use dairy & gluten free products I’ll also have to leave out the tomatoes & garlic which is a shame. Having a dodgy digestive system has taken so much joy out of cooking, but I’m going to do the best I can with this recipe because I’ve never come across it before. I’m in the UK, despite the fact it’s supposed to be hot, at this time of the year, with plenty of salads, in truth is cold and wet so I’ll have plenty of indoor time to make this.

I suspect artificial intelligence since she has a silky smooth voice and mispronounces common words. This isn't what one would expect out of a home kitchen. Additionally, putting oil in pasta stops any absorption of seasonings.

Gee, I've always spilled a drop of olive oil into pasta so the noodles wouldn't clump. Who knew? Not me. I'm going to try your way. Is putting oil in my water the reason pasta always tastes better the next day? It has time to absorb the flavors making it yummier?

It is very similar to Johnny Marzetti except that Johnny Marzetti has a mushrooms mixed in with the meat and a can of tomato sauce poured over the top. This version looks very tasty.
