An Unexpected Surprise: New, Larger Hangar!

When I moved from Columbia airport to Medina, I left behind a beautiful, large hangar and moved into a very old, small, cramped one in not the greatest shape. Of course it meant that I now had access to better, longer runways with instrument approaches, so it was a good tradeoff. The waiting list for larger, newer hangars was quite long, so I was very surprised to receive a call that one had come available. The catch: I had to be out of my old hangar in 1 1/2 days - and I had no-one to help me move!

That's one of the awesome things about this airport, there are some GREAT people here! It's hard to get work done sometimes, but there's usually someone around to lend a third hand if you need it.

Congrats on the 'new' hanger, "onwards & upwards"! I've used the 'cold patch asphalt' on my drive... did it this way:- heat content of 'sold asphalt' with hot water (kettle), while this is cooling, spray the area/hole with 'Bitumen Cold Joint Sealer Aerosol 750ml' . you should now find the heated asphalt more manageable, pour into hole & using a block of 4"x4" & lump hammer batter the asphalt into all nooks & crannies until you get desired smooth finish (could also form a ramp for ease of moving aeroplane in & out of hangar). A bit long but should get the idea! xx

haha I did go up to those guys (I know them well) and asked if they had any steri-strips, because I really wanted to avoid a time-wasting trip to the ER, but they didn't carry any, unfortunately. :)

A upgrade is always nice, sliced my thumb down across my palm, ended up stitching it up myself 5 stiches, and a little ca glue good as new. Don't like Dr's 😂

I have suture kits at home, but I can't tie knots one-handed, so stitching up my hand is not an option! Plus the ER has lidocaine :)

I think Life flight is excessive for your cut thumb.
