To me, Brittany is a true anomaly. Half of the people she talks about in her podcast mean nothing to me, and most of the time I had never heard of them before. But the way that she speaks about people/things/topics with such passion keeps me dragged into the video to watch the entire thing, every single time. Any other creator, I instantly click off or skip through a video, but I have never ever done that with Brittany's content

I think it's really important for creators to talk about the predatory management experiences they had to deal with early on. There's a lot of people who will take advantage of creators right as they're blowing up and get them to sign contracts they don't fully understand. Hopefully talking about how common it is will help some people from falling into the same traps.

@@switchunboxingI'm asking this respectfully because I don't really get how the use of these words today is an issue. Isn't there a difference between using these words in a derogatory or rude way to make fun of black people vs it just becoming a popular word with a newer meaning? I guess what I'm asking is if it's not being used in a bad way then why are people not allowed to say it? I can understand for cases like the n-word because they originated as slurs and black people are reclaiming them and other races don't have that right, but why are other seemingly harmless slang that happened to originate from black people also not allowed?

I'm not anti-cursing, but "gold" is usually when people articulate themselves with substance and novel material. Something that turns the gears in your head. Whereas curse words are the most redundant, uninformative filler material we have in conversation, that it typically only just as enlightening as "um" "uh" "like" and "ya'know?" I'm amazed this has so many likes.... it's like saying "oh, this album is explicit with a parental warning? This shit gonna be FIRE." I do not understand in the slightest.

On an intellectual level, I want to explore why the Broski Report makes me look forward to Tuesdays every fucking week? Working a full time job myself as a 28 y/o woman and a mom, why do I wait with baited breath for Broski Report episodes? It’s Brittany’s personality… but I also I think she’s a multigenerational talent. She appeals to people her own age, a few years older, and a few years younger. She has the experience of a Millennial but the understanding and humor of Gen Z. On top of all that, she possesses the talent of communicating the intensity of what it means to be a multifaceted woman in general. And I love seeing the culmination of all of this shine on her solo podcast. I watch everything she does, but The Broski Report hits different

From crying bc of laughing so hard, to like serious topics and thinking, to just like crying bc of how she is able to articulate, reflect and say all these things that hit close to home.
@battythings
@battythings 6 ай бұрын
@@cinnamonroll96 agree. I touched on it in my op, but I want to say more 😭: I’m an average, “young” working mom in society LOL. But what you said is real. I think across the board as women, (and people- I’m sure this message permeates outside of just women) we feel unconsciously limited in our interests, identities, roles, jobs etc. I’m more than just a mom and a full-time nurse, for example. I have weird interests, big emotions, a sense of humor! Brittany’s personality and presence online will never be duplicated. She makes me feel like the obsessive fangirl that has lived and evolved inside me since I was 9 years old, is an ASSETT. That what makes me odd, what I turn to for escape, can actually make me funny and interesting?? Brittany’s vulnerability online did that for so many. I think people love her so much because she feels like a normal person. In all of her intense interests, emotions, and thoughts. Brittany shows us the layers of a fully fleshed out human being in her content. We get excited, loud, giggly, angry, sad, frustrated, reflective… just like her.

Based on the timing, my suspicion is that Brittany bailed on Community Guidelines to start her new podcast, but Sarah and Brittany were under a contract with the company that ran the podcast, so Sarah was forced to find someone else to fill her role. I think it sucks for everyone, but I don’t necessarily blame Brittany for taking the opportunity to do her own thing since I think she really wants to advance her career and didn’t want to be locked into something that would have likely stagnated her career for the duration of the contract. I do feel really bad for Sarah if that’s the case.

i love all of brittany’s podcast appearances but i always come back to re-listen to this one. the interviewers have really really good questions and they come off very thought-provoking and kind-hearted in their approach. they are very respectful towards brittany and are playing towards her intelligence and experience instead of her capacity for comedy

This was an amazing interview. I learned so much about being a creator myself. It’s all of the questions I’ve tried to research, and we got it from the best source. Having a team, legalities, how creators really get paid. I’d love to see her on again. You also just gained a new fan. I’m new to Colin and Samir.

This is the first full episode of Colin and Samir I've watched and I find it refreshing that they just let the guest talk. Some hosts seem to have a hard time with that.

Girl, why u got me over here tearing up over that beautifully worded description of the comparison of the Barbie movie and the living experience of being a woman and coming to the same realization that the Barbies did in such a male centric society that as a woman, we all also have such multifaceted and deeply intrinsic personality and society doesn’t represent that, which makes it difficult for us as women to even come to that realization about ourselves. Love u Brittany, ur such a girls girl and I’m here for it!! 💕💕

I love the FRANKNESS brittany approaches her fame and her content with; she's very up front about her prior views of comedy, and I think her warnings about predatory environments, shitty management, roadblocks that can happen when people are first entering the entertainment video, etc etc etc are SO valuable. a lot of people don't say these things, they don't reveal the inner workings of the industry or explain how things work to the level she does, or if they DO there's absolutely things they leave out. I find her candidness about how shitty the industry can be, how much is too much your management is taking, it's all so valuable even though this is an industry I plan on going into. And of course, I watched this video for her, and she stunned as always of course, but this is one of the best interviews i've seen done with her. you guys are incredible interviewers, you ask actual questions that she hasn't answered a thousand times before, you clearly listen to her when she gives answers, the level of care you approach this interview is incredible colin and samir. I'm subscribing and i really really look forward to diving into more interviews, like it's something i'm genuinely excited about for the first time in a while. TLDR incredible job all around! you all rock!

The conversation about so many people wanting to be an influencer right now is so interesting to me. I've been chronically on youtube since I was a young teen (I'm now 30). I especially watched vlogs and I remember watching everyone start publicizing that they were burning out and sharing early thoughts about the concept of parasocial relationships. I was starting to play with the idea of making some dumb videos and I started getting comments from people I don't know. I saw a few people getting attached to the idea of me and that was more than enough for me. I knew quickly this power is not for me nor was I comfortable enough with my thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors to have influence on strangers. I don't know, all that said I guess it's just interesting and I'm curious why people are so drawn to it (outside of money and attention) rather than being more cautious of it. This was a great episode! Brittany is so smart and talented! I appreciate her transparency and her clear explanations of all the nuance! Awesome to watch!

Thankful to be alive at the same time as Brittany. She is such an inspiration. Hell, I've never watched a Kody Co or GMM video. I don't know where her humor comes from but I didn't need to watch "similar creators" in order to enjoy her content. I enjoy it because, like she said, it's just her. She is seen by many, including me, as an older sister or a best friend. She is the one creator I always keep up with.

Its not so much people aspiring to be a youtuber, its just proven to be very profitable and you are able to essentially work for yourself. You set your hours, you determine how hard you work. Without all the stress of coworkers, bosses, production deadlines, being in an office or factory for most of our lives. Holidays off is a nice benefit too.

Okay I came to comment that I literally have never loved or soaked up as much digital content as I have this woman’s. And I’m so thankful to have a positive, raw, & NON-PROBLEMATIC female in this generation to absorb through a screen and actually get SMARTER and more involved with intelligent media these days. Buttttt as I went to type this it cut to a Call of Duty ad and honestly it is so on brand i screamed 💀😂

I always go back and forth on breaking away from normalcy to do something creative, so to see her be vulnerable and honest about the experience she's had thus far is so enlightening and important. I will never not shout out Brittany for how much she's inspired me and helped me branch out. I'm in an online program learning to do something with my time and energy because of her, and it's paying off. Huge THANK YOU to this wonderful lady.
