I am Cuban born... just a few years older than her... I do not know her in person, but we have many friends in common. We are so proud of her... she is a phenomenal actor and human being... wishing her more success.. We have to scape the island to fulfill our dreams of professionals and be able to have a career. I am Cuban and I am convinced that we all feel great pride in everything that Ana has achieved, with the elegance and humility that represents her people. I was a child when I saw her at El Internado and I fell in love with Carolina, when I found out she was Cuban made me very proud. You were a great star in Spain, now in Hollywood, hopefully Cuba will change its system one day and we can see more young people like her achieve great things. Many successes Ana and blessings, we hope the Oscar is yours, Cuba is with you always follow and admire you

@@TruculentRuminaviShe is Cuban, she emigrated when she was very young, she says so in the interview, she only made two films in Cuba, something that for her young age and the few opportunities that exist is already a great achievement, she still had a great career in Spain.

Oh my god I was the biggest fan of MM as a teen in the 90s when no one felt she was that exciting in pop culture. I taped late night screened movies of hers to watch them on weekends. I devoured the famous biography by Norman mailer as an older teen. What we see in these scenes seems soooo spot on wow !!

She’s such an inspiration and I admire her relentless spirit of wanting more and knowing when to leave & go after more! She’s going to be an amazing Marilyn because of the energy, emotions, those beautiful big sad eyes of hers, her seductiveness, & her emotional acting that she can do. That’s why she was chosen. I am Spanish and I confess that I never knew about her before. Now I find out about his series "El Internado" and "Hispania and its legend" which were filmed for years here in my country. I only discovered her in "Knives Out" as Marta (from Nicaragua, Ecuador..?) as a nurse from Walt Thrombey, a great as always Christ. Plummer, and a private investigator Benoit Blanc (Daniel Craig of course). And the complicity of Benoit with Marta is revealed. I do not tell more since I do not intend a spoiler. Cheers.

Pena que Blonde la película no corriera la misma suerte ante conceptos preciosistas sobre que es malo o como es lo bueno , estimo que es un gran film de mucho empeño , calidad , hermosura , al tratar con la mayor de las delicadezas y cuidados el mostrar en la gran pantalla a quien tanto maltrataron y olvidaron como algo desechable un día por quien sabe cuantos ruines intereses entiendo que el largo metrage de esquisito gusto hizo justicia , trajo a la vida ese valioso y hermoso ser que fue y siempre sera MARILYN MONRROE IDOLO DEL MUNDO CINEMATOGRAFICO Y MUY EN ESPECIAL DEL PUEBLO AMERICANO.... ....... .......

Spain have only 45 million population in Europe, it is a small nation, but I could tell you they have so many incredible actors ... USA is discovering now Ana de armas, as they discovered Javier Bardem before and others... But Spain has a extrem high level on actors. And all are natural, spontaneous and really alive in front of a red pilot in tv. We are sincere and genuine. They never stop being themselves in interviews, no matter how much they are in the business. It's the difference from pretending.... and to be a real person.This is something that surprises and makes Americans always fall in love with us, when for us in Spain it is natural. Enjoy spanish cinema and spanish series... You will not regret it 😘

I just read some comments. Ana de Armas is Cuban by birth and with Cuban parents and two brothers I think. Its children's and youth culture is Cuban. I don't think that his time in Spain influenced him at all, although he was able to interpret. Greetings from Brussels, from this Spanish islander.

The scene when she had her first dinner with Arthur Miller, I noticed her dialect changed, I thought maybe it was part of the different personalities for the role. Ahhh, now I see it was her actual accent. She is AMAZING as Marilyn. Unreal how she nailed it.
