What happened to the Darth Vader part? You know, “I am your father” thing? I mean, Obi-Wan kinda regrown him outta the arm that was cut off way back in Ep. II, but what happened to the whole Force Ghost thing getting back in the restored body? Or are there both FG and, essentially, cloned Anakin now? Or is he THIS stoned? I am so confused.

I know right the reason why Luke was such a good person was because of his attachment to his father and I was that attachment that brought him back to the light but in this he’s saying all right kid you can either one go back to your adoptive father with this shirt or stay here with me and my droid in the rock hut with a short laser sword that you will cut your hand off with you can only have one though

I think I heard something about AI being used for his voice in BoBF? Which, if it's true, helps explain why his tone seems so flat and unfeeling. A lot of his apparent callousness could've also been fixed with some minor tweaks to his lines.

@Skable he litterally puts a disclaimer saying everything is deep fakes at the very beginning of the video. Yes he is an impressionist and does voices but it is still ai you are actually hearing in these. Unless I miss read it every single single time I've watched one of these videos.

I'm curious what time frame this relationship of theirs takes place in. I assumed it was obi-wan chilling with Qui-gon after the end of his series but if anakin is alive, intact and unaware of Luke then I'm confused.

I can't tell you how much I hated this characterization of luke. His whole arc in the original trilogy is learning that it IS possible to be connected to the people you love, while not letting that attachment control you. Utilizing the passion of the sith, and the order of the jedi, while not letting either control you. And now here luke is, offering to grogu the literal same ultimatum that lead his father to the dark side!! Goddamn disney, you really just want to ruin everything we love huh? Just because it came from the past, it must be made to suck right?

Yeah. When this scene was playing I was literally asking the screen, just like the meme, "Why not both?" That's the whole damned lesson of Luke, that he could embrace his feelings of love and loyalty for his friends/family and still walk the path of the Force. One need not choose one over the other! Hated that he forced that choice on Grogu just so the Mando show could return to the status quo and sell more toys.

You forget that it was only after Luke let go, to the point of throwing away his own lightsaber and facing his death fearlessly, that Vader finally made his choice. It was a selfless act when Anakin realized he couldn't let the Emperor kill Luke and so gave his own life to save him. This in no way goes against anything the Jedi ever taught. Being ready and willing to give your life to protect another is one of the most fundiment Jedi teachings. Luke's arc is not really any different than Anakin's in ROTS. The arc he failed to achieve. "Train yourself to let go, of everything you fear to lose." Fear of losing his friends drove Luke to the dark side first. Then, fear of losing Leia to the Sith, drove him to the dark side again. It was only when he let go that he became a true Jedi. Even the Emperor was forced to acknowledge that.

Really don't care for how they portray Luke in here, the fact that he makes Grogu choose between attachment and being a Jedi, just tells me that this is the same Luke from the new trilogy, and not the same Luke from the original trilogy.
