I remember being a kid around the time RotS came out, we used to duel with the extendable lightsabers. Back then, the idea of realistic looking lightsabers was only possible with after effects (or SaberFX lite for the app store lmao), but nowadays any high exposure camera picks up these neopixels and dynamic sabers in-lens better than the CGI ones of the prequels even

I have the Master Replica’s Anakin Lightsaber from 2005. When I bought it, I honestly thought they dulled some of the saber’s details to make it easier to manufacture. It turned out to look really close to the film version. I just never paid enough attention to the film prop since I didn’t care for the movie and only saw it once in the theater.

I just picked up a neopixel saber from Rebel sabers, and one of the settings on it was the butcher. I thought the blade would be red I was surprised when it ignited bluish White and then I put two and two together.
