@@OllieLoops same. FYI DaVinci Resolve lets you add them while you are editing your video and upload to YT with time stamps baked in... (It's also free, and arguably best in class)

I have a Syntakt that is known to be Analog too, could you tell me if the sound quality changes if I want to enter the DAW through USB or if I do it through line output to my audio interface?

There is likely no difference in sound quality going through the DAW. The device has an internal sound card, converting from digital to analog and vise versa. You should not have to use your sound card for this purpose.

Wow this thing looks sick! Super useful - I don’t need any more saturation plugins. I know I’ll still end up reaching for soundtoys stuff for saturation but this thing seems really REALLY usefully and I would definitely pull it up for every mix. Thanks for making this video!

Thanks! Yeah, it’s a cool device and useful. It’s a good hybrid between a plug-in and outboard gear. The question is, how does it sound compared to plugins? Stay tuned…

So far there are no videos demonstrating more of the advanced features of the unit like the envelope follower and LFO and how that may be used. Only snippets. If you could show creative ways these features can used and with Overbridge then I would greatly appreciate

Can I use it as a plugin while using also the physical IN / OUT jacks on a hardware instrument?

If you want to use the plugin independently of the hardware then no. They are meant to integrate and be used together. If you want to process signals on the IO within the plugin then yes, it's designed to do that. Hope that helps.

@@OllieLoops so basically i can affect something in my DAW as a plugin and simultaneously affect my hardware synth, jsut the settings would be the same?

@@martinaleksandrov7080 It won't be able to process two different sound sources simultaneously. If you have a hardware synth connected to it, that's the sound that the plugin will also be processing. If you want to process something in the DAW via the plugin and an external hardware synth, you either need to print the effects in the DAW to an audio track to free up the unit to process the external synth. Or, to process two signals simultaneously, you need two units, one to process in the DAW and another to process the external synth. Hope that helps.

@@martinaleksandrov7080 i own one and to me t's a very good analog stereo device and if you have an audio interface with multiple inputs and outputs connecting the heat to it and using usb only for overbridge is the best way to use it if you work with a computer, you can use the plugin (which is really good and faster especially for lfo and envelope settings) and you can work at samplerates higher than 48000, which is its limit if you use it as an audio interface with usb only :)

Bought one on sale to use with my DAW and synths. I do wish had more more than one stereo input and outputs however. That said paired up with the Digitakt and Digitone and a laptop and DAW those are fantastic!

You can always use an outboard mixer with AH. Either run it as a effect on the bus if your mixer has that, or run it between the output of the mixer and the input on your interface.

Eh Yo! … It’s survey tiiiiiime…. …. And fuck Overbridge or any software that is needed to unlock any hardware’s “full features”. I had to purchase a tablet running windows 7 to unlock the full features on my Roland MC-808. The software Support didn’t even last a decade.. hopefully Elektron won’t do what Roland did, and 10 or 20 years from ppl can still easily access full functionality of gear like this.

Thanks for you comment. You can get full functionality out of Analog Heat without additional software. Integration with a DAW via Overbridge is an added feature, if you want to use it.
