I wish London and the other regions did those slides informing the viewers about the transition from Analogue to Digital. I wonder what the broadcasters will have planned when the HD switchover is done. I think it’s time we get DigitAL out of the cupboard and dust him off for the switchover.

Honestly, our main network BBC One could have been done that... *if you thought this is the only time NI nailed this, wait until you see the Balloon ident tribute, the entire nostalgia fuel at BBC Two NI during 2010s, in-vision community at the former BBC Choice, etc etc...*

6:26 they could have kept the signal on for an extra 2 seconds for a cleaner end of broadcasting - although the message could have been shortened

You can say what you want but bbc made the best analogue switch off ever, togheter with cw nyc that had the smoothest transmision to nightlight.

Mm the analogue to digital switchover in NI was much more complicated. Cos as well as UK TV channels, under the GFA, RTEs 1 and 2 plus TG4 (all from the next door Republic) had to be accommodated.
