@@spookysomeone I think it's the language, it probably has the same problem with Chinese where new words that are coming into the language from abroad are replicated with the letters that sound similar, however the letters on their own already mean something and mean completely different thing when you separate them from a word.

Funnily enough, Putin crab is an old meme in Russia. Hitler being called Autism was spoiled in the thumbnail but 'Liverpool' caught me way off guard, after that for some reason 'Hogus father of Hagar' just sent me. Let's not forget the cherry on top, that being 'Liverpool in hell' and the holocaust being translated to fucking 'Hooray' of all things made me cry. Honorable mention being our supreme leader Kim-Jong-Un being called Acne-Cream and the Buddha for him and his religion being so successful around the world.

The Australia one is kinda accurate for who was in charge from 2007-2008. The Governor-General (the successor) was Michael Jeffery, and the Prime Minister was Kevin Rudd. So it's almost right, just 15 years out of date.

If I remember correctly, the reason why Putin was translated to 'Mr Crab', is because in Russian the word 'putin' also refers to a crab hunting season. When they are typically caught to be eaten as seafood.
@axl7762
@axl7762 Жыл бұрын
"putina" means fishing season and not crab, I doubt we have a place to hunt crabs. The actual reason is simpler-Putin said once in an interview that he had to work like a slave when he was young; like a slave sounds pretty much the same as like a crab, so we had a bunch of memes and caricatures

I like to imagine the reason this is so incoherent and nonsensical is because there's very few Laotian moderators to correct and check things so people who speak Laotian can just plagiarize to their hearts content. That and paired with the fact that Laotian doesn't receive the same attention a language like Spanish or Arabic would get from Google.
@serbiancountryballs

If people were just plagiarizing others, then they would just plagiarize the most easily available and popular texts. So the errors would just be the most common errors, not completely zany errors.

2:30 Well, for Putin "Crab" is a real nickname after his famous phrase "Vse 8 let ya pahal kaK RAB na galerah (or "Entire 8 years, I was working as a slave on a galley" or "Все 8 лет я пахал, каК РАБ на галерах"). It was spoken the way it was easy to perceive as "kak krab" (as a krab on a galley), hence the nickname. So, It is a pretty good translation, tbh
