Hi, I have a question this. I have Likert scale data but have a problem with 'Type' in variable view. When I change it to 'numerical' as in your video, all the data disappears in data view. However, when I keep it on 'String', I have a problem doing the Man Whitney U test. What am I doing wrong? I am using v28. Many thanks for your help!

Hi, To run a non-parametric test for a Likert Scale Ordinal variables actually depends on your objectives and research questions. If they require a non-parametric test, you would need to establish a hypothesis (i.e. Null and Alternate Hypothesis) which the outcome will either reject or accept depending on the P-Value against the significance level of.05.
