I review, breakdown and explain The Bear Season 2. I analyze the three pillars of the show which Carmy, Sydney, Richie, Natalie and all of the main characters deal with. These are Death, Trauma and Moving on. I react to the two seasons, especially episode 6 and episode 7 and answer why it is beautiful yet chaotic and heartbreaking to watch. I also give my theories and predictions on how it will impact season 3.

07:19 Pillar 3: Moving On

I liked the date episode with the house party and the musical nods to teen movies.

I loved ‘Omelette’, especially The Actual Omelette scene, in almost real time…&, of course, the-under-the-table sequence…” I love you I don’t “ - the body language, their voices…barely more than a murmur! 🔥💔🔥

Richie’s episode was my favorite as we saw a definitive shift in his character an how he went from trying to hold on to the past to becoming someone living in the present and bettering himself

Totally agree. My entire opinion changed on the character following that!

True but the whole singalong to Love Story was a bit much. Especially the car landing to the '... marry me juliet' part

Episode 9 was my favourite. It was slower, less chaotic and gave us this moment to reflect on how truly wrapped up their fates are with each other as they work towards this common thing for different reasons. The care, respect and support they all showed each other in episode nine was beautiful.

Death, Trauma, & Moving on - a wonderful summation of a brilliant series that almost breaks, & then heals, the hearts of those fortunate enough to watch it…Season 3 seems a long way off, but I really enjoy rewatching certain episodes, as new insights keep coming up - such as the blink-of-an-eye glimpse into Sydney’s backstory in ‘Bolognese’, also Marcus’s Mum in the early stages of her illness - there’s something about Marcus that suggests a need to atone…his instinct is to care for others (the bicycle scene in ‘Honeydew’ - his action is so direct, his concern is that the man isn’t going to hospital: yet, at the very start of that scene, I had a sense of foreboding, as if Marcus himself was in danger - the writing is so brilliant!) Thank you for your commentary! 🔥💔🔥

episode 6 deserves an emmy for the directing, jamie lee curtis’, jon bernthal’s, and bob odenkirk’s acting
