After completion of this video it is expected that you will be able to understand:
• Branches of the celiac artery, their relations and peritoneal folds that contain them.
• General topography of upper abdominal viscera: liver, stomach, gallbladder, spleen, left kidney, pancreas, and duodenum.
• Structures located in the free border of the lesser omentum and their relations.
• Blood supply of the stomach, pancreas, and duodenum.
• Boundaries and contents of Calot's triangle.
• Tortuous course of the splenic artery and its relation to the splenic vein.
• Structures located in the lienorenal ligament.
• Relation of the gastroduodenal artery to the first part of the duodenum and its vulnerability in perforated duodenal ulcer.
• The esophageal branch of the left gastric artery and the importance of the accompanying veins in providing a site for portal caval anastomosis predisposing to esophageal varices in portal hypertension.
• Location, formation and distribution of the branches of the celiac plexus of nerves.
• Celiac angiogram.

The software is Camtasia studio 7 (now 8 is also available). You can download it free for one month trial. This software records the screen and produces the video. If you want to draw, then you have to attach a drawing pad with a pen to your computer and then record your drawing. Thanks for the comment.

Because the lesser omentum is in fact a double sheet of peritoneum then the two leaves contain structures in between them. At the free border of the lesser omentum, the two folds enclose the bile duct, hepatic artery, and portal vein.

The lesser omentum is a double fold of peritoneum that extends from the lesser curvature of the stomach to the visceral surface of the liver. Its border that extends from the first part of the duodenum (in continuity with the lesser curvature) to the visceral surface of the liver (hepatoduodenal ligament) is free i.e. not attached, like the free edge of a sheet of paper.

I think the correct description should be " the tail of the Pancreas is related to the hilium of the spleen" and not the hilium of the Kidney as erroneously stated in the lecture.....
