This video is intended to give students a broad overview of the body systems either as a preface to taking anatomy and physiology I, a preface to taking anatomy and physiology II, or as a cumulative review

It's hard to give advice out of context...but lll try to give you some broad advice 1) Make sure you have a physical copy of your textbook. Mariebs anatomy and physiology is also a great book to have as a cross reference. You can get the old edition for 10 dollars. I have a short on how to find cheap textbooks if you don't know how 2) Learn in layers, meaning, don't try to learn every little detail the first time you are looking at something. If you're trying to learn a physiological process, figure out what the point of that process is and the main parts of it. So for blood clotting, you should first be able to say there are three parts: vascular spasm, platelet plug, coagulation. Then the main point of each of those parts. Once you have that down, then start to look at the details. It's like you're doing a jigsaw puzzle... You always look for the edges first. 3) Make sure you have your gross anatomy and microanatomy memorized before you attempt to learn physiology... Think "I'm trying to memorize characters and settings, so that I can understand stories." So for the muscle chapter, you shouldn't be trying to learn excitation contraction coupling (how an electrical impulse causes a muscle to contract) until you have learned all of the names of the tiny pieces in the muscle. You don't need them necessarily 100% memorized... But if you have a list of all of the relevant microanatomy and a diagram you should at least be able to point out where they go on the diagram and know their relationship to the other pieces. Once again, Mariebs anatomy and physiology is a wonderful textbook for this. It has the best pictures, and the chapters are always laid out so the gross anatomy is first and then the microanatomy and then the physiology. 4) Schedule your studying so you will have learned everything two days before your exam. The day before your exam should only be for review. 5) If you are having trouble, try to figure out what academic skill it is that you aren't good at. Is it that you can't read a textbook? That you're getting distracted? Test taking skills? Note taking skills? And then try to look for advice for how to improve. I could go on and on and on and on...but I'll leave if there. If you want more advice as you go along just leave a comment explaining how you are currently studying and what system you are on.

Sorry my friend, maybe someday if I run out of a&p topics, but that wont be for many years... I believe you also asked me about doing more A&P II videos, which I also will not be doing a lot of in the very near future...for now, please keep an eye on my "study tips" playlist, because even if I'm not discussing actual content, half the battle is knowing how to approach it. I do also have specific advice for specific systems and I will probably post more of those in the near future.

Thank you, for responding. I just found out I need to take in the spring semester statistics and microbiology. A&P I will take in the fall semester. Your learning method works. I'm grateful for what you do because I got a good Final grade by following your teaching method. Tell us more about how you study and how we should learn. I will look after your videos. ❤️again, Thank you

@@chrzanowska61 I am glad you are not taking all three classes together! I took A&P II and micro at the same time and I remember being at the school 6 or 7 days a week for an entire semester 😂 Good luck with microbiology! And by the fall, I should have more A&P II material

@@AnatomyHero I am 45, working 32 hours, Family and English is my second language and Lupus doesn't make it easy at all😔 It's a challenge but I have a goal to achieve. That is why organization and methods of learning are the key. 🤓
