We built a new hall tree out of mostly 2x4s for about $80! It's a pretty easy build. PLANS: www.ana-white.com/woodworking...

It’s actually a very well written and comprehensive book kzfaq.infoUgkxhgbP-6hUnXu_QRaoHgLztgsI0YF3HqR0 . I wanted to pair this with an updated book on local codes to start planning a post-retirement dream shop. I think I have just about everything I need between the two. The extra plans available for purchase towards the end are priced almost as much as full home plans, not little sheds however.

Nice design. I may try to make a hybrid of this and your shoe dresser design for our very small front entryway in our new house. We're in desperate need of a place for backpacks for our 3 school-age children. And I'd actually use the shoe dresser compartment for winter hats and such.

And because I like to make things more difficult on myself, I'll probably half-lap the x'es on the sides to add a little more rigidity. Not a knock on your idea of chopping the cross piece and using pocket holes, just a personal preference.

Wow Ana that is so nice. If you ever run out of projects to do for your self. Hit me up. I've got a camper that sure could use some love that only you could help. I don't do very well on things like decorating. Plus I'm suffering from bulging disc for the rest of my life. No repetitive movements for me. Anyways it looks great. I love the look. I have an antique that’s kinda like your homemade style except mine has the back where it can be used as a small table which is perfect for kneading bread. I just put a large cutting board on it then cover the dough with my special white towel. Since mine has a bench with a lid I can store extra pots and pans. But I really love your style. You are a blessed mother to your children. ❤️👍

Ana thanks for making & sharing your plans. Love them all & how straight forward they are to build. Also I really like the festool compound mitersaw, a lil outta my price range though. Ana can you get me one for Christmas please? 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Keep up the great videos!!!!❤️❤️❤️
@trishhue56034 жыл бұрын
I just saw the Festool. It's on the Christmas wish list, too! All Carpenters & Santa's elves should get onto Santa's nice list. Just sayin'. We need a bigger shed for our bldg tools. Now, I see why so many sheds are being built lately.

I love this but why don’t you rip the edges off your 2x4’s? And why don’t u use wood glue?
@aaronk99952 жыл бұрын
This is great. Now if I could only find 2 x lumbar that is straight....... Everything in the stores these days are either twisted, have significant crowns, or are very wet. For an amateur this is so frustrating!
@AnaWhiteDIY2 жыл бұрын
Finding straight boards can be challenging. Maybe try a local lumber yard, thanks for watching!

Looks great, but I wonder if Ana encounters the issues I have with pine lumber twisting and warping to the point that nothing joins correctly, no matter how accurately the pieces are cut?

I think that someone needs her own 1x4 building block set so she can show her mother how it's done! They always know more than us in their minds. The build is fabulous. In my case I would have to dry fit everything and take it apart, stain or paint it, and when dry carry it inside and put it together. I couldn't lift it by myself. 💟🦌🦉🐱
