The RG405M was much more automated. Just pull down the top screen menu and select game mode. It does it all for you

If the people you purchased yours from where nice enough it should come pre loaded and there will be 2 buttons on the right of the device just press the smaller one on the bottom and you’ll be glad you read this if you didn’t know 😊

Have you tried the gamma os? My unit is brand new, less than 24 hrs. Tinkering it but might wait until I have enough knowledge. Im going to play more on rpgs on ps1, psp or ps2 emu here. Also do you have a video in which you provide details on what games each the emulator does play/run?

If only it had a video out and stacked shoulder buttons, I might've picked this over Retroid pocket 3 plus. 505's face button are the right size for me. I'm not sure but from this video it seems the analog sticks' diameter might also be bigger. Which is a plus for me. It also should've been packaged with gamma os installed. Which removed the sharpening and improved the gaming performance because of those custom gpu drivers from rp3 plus.

Some very good points here. It does support screen mirroring, but I appreciate that the quality and reliability is nowhere near the same as a HDMI connection

Great video. When you click the side button i can see your list shows a picture of each console. Mine is just a box with no console image - how did you get yours to look like that

The PS2 folder would be on the SD card. If you've ordered it with the SD card, I'd suggest contacting the seller.

Could I swap the entire contents of this SD card to a better one before set up? Nothing should alter it to be funky right? I've just heard bad things about Anbernic SD cards and wanted to upgrade to a better one immediately.

This is exactly what I did. I copied everything across to a Samsung sd card (SanDisk is good too), and then added my own roms etc. If you just want to change the rom list then this will not impact the sd card at all.

@pickymfpickle6127 any laptop or pc can achieve this. You just need a couple of USB sd card readers, or enough space to backup your sd card to your pc/laptop before transferring it to another

If you press and hold X for a few seconds and release whilst on the retroarch screen, it should come up with a prompt asking if you want it to read the sd card

Which game is it that you are trying to play? It could be that it is missing the bios it needs to run it, or the rom that's been put on there is a dud.

@@lh7266 sounds like the bios the game is wanting is not there. Your best bet is to download some more bios for that type of game (ps1, gamecube, etc) and see if that helps

Id contact the seller bud. If they've not provided one and you've paid for one then they should be able to send one out. Alternatively there are loads of guides online to set up an sd card
