Super intimidating but also i’m starting to get scared that graphics are going to be worse than i expected… funny thing is i bought a psp go with thousands of games pre downloaded but like back in 2012 and the picture quality is equal to or better than… which does not make sense..

@shakevance I got the grey model. It runs great! The only issues I've even had is running into a rom occasionally that doesn't wanna run, but it's few & far between. I have no other device to compare it to, only a steam deck which are 2 different things, but I highly recommend the 405m. The chassis makes it feel high quality too.

This will be my third anbernic handheld....im hoping this will satisfy my ongoing wanting the perfect psp emulator under $200. Honestly im on a quest to get at least 5 more handhelds....i dont like the design of the deck but i have seen these odin pro 2 types including itself. This will be my first "big boy" emulation machine. I hope i can get used to it

Do you know if anbernic format micro SD to ext3/ext4 ? I've encountered the problem after a I put my SD card into my Android 12 phone e it fomatt the card in exfat that not allowed file over 4gb of space, there is a ton of over 4gb iso for ps2

Ok this may be a dumb question but where are the games? I went through the set-up process as shown in the video but now I don’t know where to go to actually open the games. I’m used to the Anbernic RG35XX where you turn it on, select a game system, click on it and you instantly have a catalog of 100/150 games to choose from. With this, if I open a GBA emulator I have to set/select folders, if I open “file” then I can choose a game system and see games but if I click on it I just get a message “can’t preview this file type”. Where are the games!!??

I bought mine and I can’t figure out how to get any of my games to load I’ve erased all data and reset the thing and I get no pop ups when I try to switch to game mode… all it shows is 0 games available

If you got small hands rg405m is better to hold instead of the 505 because it has jagged corners performance wise they both the same If you buy the 505 with the memorycard I believe it's better than running gamma os cause many of the games already came tweaked enough to be played...but maybe I was high...but to me it's not worth the gammaos but you might like it

@KayleighTheBacon surprisingly good, I guess it really depends on your WiFi strength. I've shown me playing God of War Ragnorok on my tiktok livestreams using the app and there's literally no lag. It's basically a tiny screen for your ps5 😁

I just ordered mine. I’m thinking it does. But the more gigs the memory card has the more preloaded games it comes with. For example the one i ordered has 128g’s and for the n64 games I think it’s got like 6-8 games pre downloaded. Compared to this one, this one has 250g’s and it’s got 16 n64 games pre downloaded

I received mine today and it did not have me go through the setup process when I first turned it on. It also doesn’t have the Home Screen with the apps for me to choose from it is just constantly in the emulator screen. Would it be possible that I may have gotten a used device?

It's quite likely. If you scroll down from the top, you should be able to select the retroarch button to bring you to the android screen.

@ricardoramirez7783 I don't, but it should be as simple as downloading the rom from online (vimms lair), then take the sd card out of the device and put it in your pc/laptop. Then transfer the rom on to the sd card. There will be folders for each console on the device (gameboy, n64, megadrive etc), you just need to make sure you drag and drop the rom in to the correct folder. N64 roms go in the n64 folder and so on.

Why is the cable so important? You say if you use a laptop cable it will blow out the battery but a cable is a cable. The part you plug the cable into is what’s Important. There’s a transformer inside each power brick or anywhere you plug in the usb. What you plug it into is what’s important. The cable is not usually that important.

@abigailgonzales1545 if you just want the classic consoles (snes, nes, megadrive, gameboy, etc) up to ps1, hdmi out and no analogue sticks, then I'd deffo go for the rg35xx. But if you want gamecube, ps2, wii, 3ds, psp, 2ds etc, playstore, touchscreen and android, then I'd go for this model

I originally got him the ODIN pro 2 because that’s what he wanted, but every time he tried to play a game it only shows a black screen and he leaves next month and doesn’t have the time to figure out what went wrong so he just wanted to return it, but I do want to him to have something with games already preloaded, reliable, and convenient. I’m assuming the closest to the Odin is the RG405M?
