It's 2024, and I still feel inspired by the legacy of Miriam Defensor Santiago, the late Philippine senator. I often find myself revisiting her speeches and interviews, amazed by her intelligence, wit, and courage. Even though she's no longer with us, her words and ideals continue to resonate with me. Miriam's tireless fight against corruption and her fierce commitment to justice are values that I hold dear, and they keep me motivated to advocate for a better future. I know that I'm not alone-many others share this admiration for her, and her impact will be felt for generations to come. It's an honor to keep her memory alive.

i andmire how consistently fierce ombudsman morales all the time, but right at this moment, her body language and tone of voice obviously show how challenged and careful she is. both of them are very admirable though.

I love how she states the constitution and other laws despite her audience being seasoned lawyers for the sole purpose of educating the people who are watching in their homes for free. Why pay money to go to law school when you have the best law professor for free?

Mea culpa is a latin word for my apology-- Chonchita was very smart by expressing her sorry in a language that most public wouldnt understand . Remember, the impeachment trial was televised almost 24/7 and the entire nation and even people across the globe were glued to this polical teleserye. She knew that if there is anyone among the companeros and companeras, only she and Justice serafin cuevas can stand alive beside the great Madame Miriam. But, the late Senator, Miriam made the public know that Chochita was sorry by saying "i accept your apology" and thats was epic!!! It was like telling chonchita "im sorry to rain on your parade"

The law was clear. Certain protocols had to be done before actions may be done; she clearly bypassed these protocols and thus had a tongue-lashing experience with the iron lady 🤷🏻‍♂️

I salute Miriam here. She raises some serious questions regarding the legality of the Ombudsman's presentation. She's only one of the few politician's I have respect with. Anyone insulting her in this comments section is not worth his salt.

Even in her health condition, she made it sure that the viewing public who are not lawyers understood what was going on and to establish her legacy of standing for what is right. Hence the long free legal masterclass. We know that her vote is based on the rule of law and that she was fair as a judge.
