good singers are everywhere, but I doubt you see people with a voice like hers every day she is on par with Mariah Carey and Christina Aguilera someone who can hit notes like her is not as common as you make it sound I understand filipinos love singing and kareoke so Im sure what you say is true to a extent but her voice is far from normal I dont care where you are

oh men, you never been to the philippines? lol.. im telling you there are people singing in malls far better than her.. i've witnessed many teen agers on karaoke machines that gave me goosebumps.. i admit that not all of them are this good but you can really see potential and many of them are great singers but seems like they just haven't got the chance to be discovered.. :D

Random girl aka the girl with the red backpack, was homeless at this time. EVERYTHING she owned in the whole world was in her backpack, which she wore all the time. She and her mother slept in a fire station where they had to leave before it opened in the morning. She sang in malls on karaoke machines hoping to discovered. After this 'random girl' was discovered on youtube ,she appeared on the Ellen show, then was signed with EMI International for a record deal. Happy ending.

This is still the best live performance of zendee that was captured in video, i'm not talking about the quality of the recording, although it was shot with only a phone camera you can still appreciate the power in her voice. But what i'm talking about is the emotion that she poured in this song, you can hear it quite clearly in the quality in her voice, the angst.. and you can see it in her body language, the anger.. i never get tired of viewing this video because of that, i know that zendee is a very nice person but hopefully she will make some video with the same kind of emotion that she did with this one.. tnx much

At the time this was recorded, her family was homeless and living in the back of a fire station. She would go to the mall after school and sing her heart out on the $50.00 karaoke machine, hoping to get noticed. Needless to say, she was picked up by the Ellen show and lifted from Singapore to the USA with her family. It's an amazing story, really.

One of the better renditions of this song I've heard. Personally, I feel it's better than Jennifer Hudson's version especially if recorded in the proper setting. I've also heard the version of Louisa Johnson in UK XFactor, this one is just much better. If the british audience thought Louisa was great, I can just imagine how they react if they heard this lady sing. Well done.

Zendee is really good at singing. She literally, started from the bottom. Her debut in Ellen DeGeneres show was not just because of her performance shown above, it's the product of her hard work and perseverance. I know because we're from the same town and I saw her make her way up.

Having watched and heard Dhee sing live many times I am stunned at some of the negative comments here. She has an amazing voice, huge range and holds her notes to perfection. Remember this is an amateur recording and has terrible sound. When you really hear her sing you will know that you have heard 'the voice'. To those who criticise, either put up your own music here or shut up - you have no idea who Dhee is or how good she really is! She's on her way to the top now, right where she belongs!

omg...she is sensational (and this all inside of the wines and liquor department of a shopping store). aside from one single time of losing her breath, @ 2:24, she was almost flawless...not too bad for a girl with her back pack weighing her down throughout and trying so very hard to maintain focus in a somewhat crowded and busy venue. i would love to see this girl, Zendee Rose Japitana Tenerefe, get brought to Hollywood, CA and placed before the talent scouts who can and should, in fact, launch this hopeful's musical career in lights...i, for one, would be first in line to buy tickets on what i expect would be sell-out performances i do so very much hope she is brought to the promise land...she MOST DEFINITELY deserves a chance (at the very least!)
