I’ve been in business for 24yrs and the business advice James spoke about is absolutely spot on, too many businesses nowadays borrow beyond their means, people forget that when things slow down or the price of scrap drops overnight, those repayments still need paying. My only advice would be buy a new 20t over 3yrs with a big deposit hundred and ten k, two years or three thousand hours warranty, swap your processor on to the new 20t. Most good new machines nowadays are already fitted with rotation equipment as standard.

When I had my yard at Altham we did quite a lot of business on part-worn tyres (although the rules have tightened up a bit since) and also got new tyres from BITS which was another income stream.

If he's going for an Italian 125 bike then go for an old Aprilia RS125 2 stroke. It's going to blow up like every Italian bike does, but not as often as the others and you can get parts for them quite easily, plus it's a proper rapid little bike with the powervalve kit and de-restricted ECU and it handles really well!

Always enjoy watching your videos and enjoy you discussing the plans that you have for the business. I was self employed for nearly 30 years before retiring and wouldn't have had it any other way, even with the ups and downs , it's a big learning curve and I have never regretted it, and you get a nice satisfaction to think you have done something that you have wanted to do and it hasn't worked out too bad ,so keep up the good work and.what's important the banter 😉😉👍👍

Those Benelli bikes use Qianjiang engines and are not fully powered 125's. Find an older 125 from early 2000's as they often have way more bhp then the 15bhp limit on most new ones. You can then sell them for the same as you paid. China bikes are work about 1/4 price after 2 years. I had an rs125 that had 25bhp. As long as its a 125 the power is never checked. Those Benelli are totally Chinese. They get imported to Italy and assembled to avoid import tariffs. Yamaha WR125 is a beast for having fun on. mt125 or gsx 125 will hold the value and smoke any tnt

There’s a mint Yamaha RD 125 LC (1982 Tax Exempt) for sale on that site that rhymes with Tebay for £1,200. Remove the fairing and put on some drop bars for the cafe racer look. Perfect first bike,quick and handles well.

I've bought wheels and tyres from breakers yards over the years, last one I got had a good brand of tyre on with 7mm of tread. If someone can't spell boring and tonne correctly they have no place trolling you John.

You should do part worn supplied and fitted .A car breakers up where I live does this and batteries .

I work Pouring CONCRETE here in DUBLIN IRELAND and make sure you get FIBER MESH in the Concrete you can get different types from one's like little hairs others one's that are about the size of a Matchstick made from Steel and you can get one's made from Plastic but if I was you I whould Go for the Steel one's because for what you are going to be doing on it going to make it 100 times stronger and stop it chipping and bracking. Cost more but it will last for a 1000 years. You might be able to buy them yourself Cheaper and put them into the concrete truck and Mix it in you whould put about 1000 of these little Matchstick size bits of steel or plastic per Cubic Metre they come in Boxes or Bags so you don't have to count them just Dump them in and give it a Good Mix for 5 minutes

James you are amazing controlling your machine it’s something I honestly could watch all day it’s like you picking out a pile of metal with a pair of long nose pliers, and the way as a family you work is a great example to everyone, I also love the respect your workers have for you and that shows when the strongest personalities argue respectfully back at you both and I know having had my own company that is extremely hard to achieve,absolutely love watching you guys, but I do think you need a bigger yard with better access and better Valuation of the cars to see if it’s more profitable to sell them complete as a spares only vehicle or can be repaired, with the proper paperwork your company is covered but excuse me for trying to say something you would know, all the best and please keep us laughing and enjoying every moment of your channel, regards Dave
