I mean, within the story, the members said that this song is about how the five of them (as characters, not their real selves) found each other again after forgetting their promise to be with each other as kids and growing up and going through heartbreak...so it sure _could_ be about romance lmao. And the MV is shot so softly and romantically that it makes total sense to read it that way. (Also, there's at least one cut that didn't make it to the final MV of Beomgyu stroking Yeonjun's cheek while Yeonjun is down on his knees, so...) If it feels gay to you and that makes you happy, then hell yeah, they're gay. It's art; make whatever you will of it.

Okay here's a theory idk how much of it is correct but according to the storyline- with the reference from star seekers beomgyu plays the role of Viken and he has the power of healing others but everytime he or anyone uses the power they have to pay for the consequences.... In this MV yeonjun is kinda lost and hurt and everyone is trying to find him through following the light but they aren't able to reach him (running backward and more) but since beomgyu is the healer he's the only one to reach out to beomgyu and able to find him..... The moment yeonjun loses all his hope is where beomgyu found him and healed and consoled him..... Also maybe as due to the consequences he has those bandages around his arms in the end (and if we go back....beomgyu is the only one who always got hurt in the MVs like always falling off the bicycles...) And maybe it was beomgyu as the light all along whom they were trying to find.... That's all for what I know🙂

So txt lore is very complex but one of the theory that stood out the most to me is that in txt's mv they always showed that they are in some kind of magical imaginary world named magic island and the real world but they don't want to go to the real world becuz there's no happiness there. Basically in this mv, they are in megic island at first there is fake clouds, fake sea and fake people but there is a portal to the real world around 5:03 we see huening kai go through the portal and all the members wakes up in real world but yeonjun is still stuck in the magic island and wakes up alone (at 8:18) and we see all the others running to save him but beomgyu gets there just in time to save him and comfort him in the last scene (tmi yj actually cried in the last scene) BTW if u actually want to listen to a gay song check out killa its a yeonbin subunit song and make sure to read the lyrics it screams GAY.

My theory about Sparkly!Beomgyu in this MV is that he’s the personification of their friendship/the promise they all made to each other (in their lore), because in their Eternally music video there’s also a ghost that Sparkly!Beomgyu seems to be modeled after and there’s a parallel scene in Eternally of Kai seeing the ghost and chasing after it but not being able to get close. But I like the “are they gay” theory too LOL androgynous Beomgyu ftw Edit for further lore clarification/speculation: it seems like in this music video, they’ve all been separated after Chasing That Feeling (we see Yeonjun chasing a light in the beginning of this video that reminds me of CTF) which, at that point in the lore, would be when they left their fairytale, their youth, their Magic Island/Neverland/false paradise.
