The 3rd Sinquefield Cup was played in the Saint Louis Chess Club and Scholastic Center, Missouri USA, 23 August - 1 September 2015. It was this year the second of three events of the new Grand Chess Tour. The nine regular tour players were joined by wildcard Wesley So for a single round robin. Tournament director: Tony D Rich. Overall prize fund: $300,000, with $75,000 to the winner, and down to $15,000 for 10th place. Players received 120 minutes for 40 moves, 60 more minutes for the rest of the game, and a 30-second delay from move 41. Rounds started at 1 pm. Levon Aronian won with 6/9 and collected 13 Grand Chess Tour pointsglobalchessleague.com

It seems Medo is at a similar point as our dog. Ours is slowing down a bit and doesn’t care too much for stairs anymore, but she’s still a sweetheart. We give them every good day we can.

I love your channel. I used to watch you in 2019 but stopped. I came back a couple of weeks ago and I realized how I missed you and your dog 😊. Now, this game led me to the Hikaru' s Immortal then to the Krasenkow vs Nakamura one in 2007. Since I like Hikaru's play it will be a pleasure (but a long road) to watch your playlist on him.

Thank you for showing my suggested game. When you see the moves at first, it would seem like Rashid Nezhmetdinov or Mikhail Tal is playing with the black pieces. It is kinda crazy to think it was played in the Engines' Age where You have to play like a computer to beat your opponent at the top level.

At 14:54, 9 black pieces (counting pawns) are within a radius of 3 from the white king, and only 2 white pieces are within that range. Totally nuts. I don't think I've ever seen a situation where the king is so utterly surrounded with so little help.

I dont think Hikaru gets to play the King's Indian Defense anymore, what a beast. And I think if Wesley's last move was Ke6 instead of Kg6, that Nd4 checkmate would have been the most beautiful move.

I saw Rxf3, and even Rxd3 (separately), and some maneuvers, I didn't see the immediate checkmate (didn't calculate because I think there are many lines that'd end up with checkmate anyway lol), neither the line with the horsey mate that Hikaru played (with h3), well simply horsey moves are too unpredictable and I don't want to calculate the line with gazillion knight moves lol
