Reactive programming with Observables can seem like a hard skill to learn. In this talk you will see Andre live code and explain the basics of RxJS Observables in a way that will demystify the concepts. We will build our own Observable from scratch, as well as our own basic operators, then see why RxJS can easily solve your async events problems.

Great presentation! I need to rewatch it a few times, it's incredible the speed he wrote all the concepts down and ran without a single error. Mad skills!

I came along by accident. This presentation is awesome. Though some years are gone since then, it is still valid for 2020. Staltz's red thread is a master piece. His explanation of events comes along so smooth and straight-forward. Waugh!

i think it's the 4 or 5th time i'm watching this and still learning; going in parallel with my code, i think "subscribe" is used too often and it threw me off the first time at least (maybe this time and I still don't know it) - the createObservable could receive an anonymous function instead of this named "subscribe" function - this function gets passed as the subscribe method in the createObservable. Then what clicked is that "nothing happens until you call subscribe" - cause you call it on that createObservable helper
