Eh, your opponent could sac a queen for diversionary purposes. A better moral might be if you have 30 seconds and almost have mate in 3, maybe spend 20 seconds looking for the forced mate? That leaves you 10 seconds for maybe 3 moves (not counting the increment).

You often talk about people watching and not fully understanding your vids but you have gotten me back into the game for the first time in almost 20 years and I forget everything. I needed this today. I am a 1500 player and last night I was getting crushed by another 1500 player. I was behind 8 points in material, way behind on development, and had no space. My opponent hung a rook, and I was so excited when I saw a way to draw the position, I missed a relatively easy checkmate. I had plenty of time left.

Levy when you were talking about understanding the board, it's crazy how in the early game black getting their d pawn to e4 was an advantage, but later on at 8:20 it could have become a disadvantage. Why you might think because, if white takes with bishop not the knight, if black captures with least valued there is no fork, the queen leaves and black pawn on e4 is closing the diagonal taking space so no pins or skewers for while.
