I definitely enjoy Andrea Davenport as a character. Even when she seems antagonistic towards Molly McGee, Andrea does come off as trying to be nice in her own way. Andrea may seek attention, but it's mainly because her parents don't give her the attention she needs. Molly was able to see that and stops being antagonistic towards Andrea. I am glad that Andrea and Molly were finally able to become friends, though Libby and Scratch are not happy about Andrea calling Molly her best friend.

Andrea referring to Molly as her best friend makes you realize she never hangs out with any other kids. Really sad that someone she spends so little time with is her best friend :(

When I saw Andrea refer to her as a "best friend," my reaction was the same as Molly's. "I'm sorry, she's your WHAT?!"

If you go back and look at a lot of Andrea's interactions with Molly leading up to this episode it makes sense that Andrea has been under the assumption that they've been friends this whole time, she's rude to Molly but in a semi-friendly way almost as if she's just teasing. It seems like Andrea's been under the impression that they've been Frenemies this whole time.

Andrea has been an antagonist a few times but for most of them she wasn’t intentionally trying to get in Mollys way. Outside of that she seems harmless and sometimes very helpful

Honestly seeing Andrea call Molly her best friend out of nowhere makes Andrea seem delusional but this video makes it make sense from her perspective. Everyone may follow Andrea around and do what she does but Molly has been the only one to actively help her and treat her like a normal person.

In 2:20 you can see Andrea's eye twitching when she got rejected from her father, almost as if in her mind she's thinking "Just go to social media, go to social media. Social media makes the pain go away" and that's really sad 😞 and good attention to detail from the animators 🤔

I really like the fact that andrea actually REMEMBERED AND ACKNOWLEDGED the MC's kind actions towards her when they started off rough. And on top of that it was the MC misunderstanding and personalizing the actions of the antagonist. Andrea didnt even tease molly about living in the woods. She wanted to help her instead. You dont really see that very often in shows unless they're really serious and even then the antagonist will still stay in a sort of frienemies state. This was wholesome and done very maturely

I'm really glad to see Andrea has begun her "redeeming phase", I really hope she has more interaction with the trio and eventually have it became a quad, I imagine her relationship with Libby being similar to Amity to Willow in The Owl House. I just hope she get more attention in general in the next season.

A lot of people say they want her to have a redemption arc but honestly, she doesn't really take much of an antagonistic role in this. She just needs some character development. It's not like Amity where she started off as a bully for no real reason Andrea even wanted to be friends with Moly in the beginning at first but got mad when she kept mispronouncing her name.

I also do you want to see a future episode where Andrea and Molly do you work together on their cause. Andrea’s character did improve over time from a bully, to someone who’s actually likable

In fairness, the reason why people think she's a lesbian is pretty simple. The show creator has said that there will be a LGBT characters in the main cast and dismissed Molly and Libby as a option for that. Molly of course is Bi, and given the fact the main cast boils down to those three girls and scratch there's not many options. There's also the fact as of late television animation has shown a double standard toward same sex couples. Sapphicc couples are fine but for some reason gay couples are omitted or left coded.

It’s crazy how Andrea, on the first episode, seemed like she was going to become more a bully, but later on we see that she got stopped and pretty much just acts like a “spoiled (not as much, she’s not as rude as others) rich kid” “I’m just here for the outfits *texting on phone*” And now we see, she isn’t rude, she’s goofy, funny and honestly pretty sweet, but in a bit of a teasy/rude way It’s very nice tho, she’s not a bad kid at all-

Rewatching the series in the spirit of Halloween, and came to the conclusion that Andrea is most likely NOT neurotypical. The near meltdown she has while Molly stresses over the pronunciation issue was evidence enough, but her being the geode club could be because of a special interest of some kind, which could also explain her social media presence. Then again, I doubt anyone in this show is neurotypical.

Usually, the antagonistic foil has this big, on-screen moment where they realize that the lead isn't so bad or that they've been treating them poorly. Andrea just realized over time that she likes Molly, and Molly simply I assumed that their relationship was like when they first met. It's different and I like it. Gives Andrea a more tangible internal life of her own, too.
