It sounds so different with a male voice singing AURORA but it works so well. The highs and lows, he fits really well with this song. Amazing performance, one of my favourites so far this year

I think the voice of norway are using so modern songs in the actually time... not like the other country whos using songs from 1950 or something hahah, nice song choice, and nice vocal!

The difference I think is that in The Voice Norway the contestants can chose their own songs through the whole competition. That way they can also show what kind of genre or route they want to go as an artist. The only time the mentors chose the song is in the battle round/duet when they perform two together so that the song will fit and challenge both contestants. They write a list of songs they want to perform and they discuss with their mentors which song to perform each time and why they want to perform it.

Him: Andreas Jarle: In the beginning it was like - he knows his depth, then the you kept going. You have a lot to offer. Ina: How old are you? Him: I just turned 17. Ina: You have just turned 17 and you are completely calm and steady. And when you are finished singing you are like «now I’m done singing, got 17 gold medals in different sports, but now I’m done». I love it! You deserve everything and you are amazing. Espen: Canon performance. There is a lot happening and we can hear all the different layers to your voice. Very impressive. From the first sentence all of us are in a trance, and you won’t let us go before the song is over. You force us to listen all the way. That is a gift. Him: Thank you. And then he chose Ina

that was very risky because he doesn't have the vocal range and power like Aurora; But yes, Aurora is almost impossible to sing because that is extremely difficult. He has done very well there in his own way
