Curly hair is severely underrated. You can do so much with it with only a little bit of product, and if you want to straighten it you can without committing permanently. Curly hair naturally gives more volume.

2c/3a- i actually had no clue how to take care of my hair properly until i was 15 (being a mixed kid when neither parent knows how to deal with your hair can be difficult) the year that i did figure it all out, however, was the best hair year i’d had in my life, but the next year i decided to cut it short (and while i loved my long hair, i can’t TELL you how much short hair has saved me on time, effort, tears, and conditioner) anyway, the lifesaver that i learned to deal with my looser curls was to start from the TOP and slowly work it DOWN. all my life everyone always told me to start from the bottom, but all that was doing for me was wasting time and forming new knots. i know that it sounds like doing this would cause a giant snarl, and it does, but (for reasons i still cant quite comprehend) once you work that snarl down the the ends of your hair, it just kinda magically dissapears. of course to do this you need to section off your hair into at least four parts, and basically glob conditioner onto whatever section you’re working on. by the end, there won’t be a knot left on your head, and it’s easily the most painless method of detangling i’ve ever experienced

Girl, you need to try a Wet Brush. I have curly hair and any other brush it actually PAINS ME to brush my hair cause of the knots. I have about 2 Wet Brushes and have gotten everyone in my family hooked on them, you can find them in Sallys or Walgreens.

The wet brush is a life saver hun only 5-10 bucks trust me you'll fall in love i hated brushing my hair due to the curls being tangled.

I’m not sure my hair type, but I tend to detangle my hair in the shower with the conditioner in. It is a game changer.

I have curly hair and a trick I use is I brush out all the knots in the shower and moisturize while my hair is damp then I just do whatever to dry my hair.

My hair is naturally straight as a stick so l curl it heatlessly every day. This is my routine: 1: I do my hair in bantu knots the night before 2: In the morning l wash my hair with the bantu knots in 3: I dry my hair with a hair dryer on low 4: I take out the knots 5: I fluff it up and add a little bit if sea salt spray And yea that is how l do my curls! 😊

Question: why do you wait until after the shower to brush your hair? And don't instead brush it when it's saturated with conditioner (which makes it less prone to breakage and also makes sure the conditioner coats every strand)? Because if you did that then you won't have to rewet it and have all that palava? Also why use detangling spray instead of like curl defining gels/creams before diffusing etc? (I know you add some when dry later but that's different it's more maintenance~). Curly gal here always refining her routine ahaha. I love Maui curl quench shampoo and conditioner btw 👌

my hair type is straight, fine. It's long and kinda damaged due to dyeing it more than i should. But i love the curly hair look. When i do no heat tight curls tricks, it feel like my hair is more voluminous and thicker and i can style my hair in many ways as oppose to when my hair is straight.

thick luscious a tad wavy and very shiny i know it sounds nice but you should see me struggle in the morning but the easy way is to lways wake up with no nots and bed head free is to either do a normal braid or a bun but make sure you use a protective hair tie :)

I have the same hair as you but less healthy, because of school i didnt really have time to take good care of it and always focused more on school. But now its summer and i already have beter techniques for healthier hair. (Oh and i took bad care of my hair for about 3 years)It also got some areas with heat damage. Try using a “ WET BRUSH” it is specially made for curly hair and you should finger detangle with your hair soaking wet with conditioner with a wide tooth comb then follow through with the wet brush you’ll have less-breakage that way that brush you’re using is breaking your hair off
