Mike Posner:
Since 2009, International multi-platinum selling, GRAMMY-nominated artist and songwriter Mike Posner has quietly become one of the world’s most successful and recognizable voices. From his 2016 sophomore full-length album, At Night, Alone, which included the ubiquitous RIAA 4x-platinum smash “I Took A Pill In Ibiza’ which made history as “one of Spotify’s Top 10 Most Streamed Songs of All Time” with 3 billion streams and earned Mike a 2017 GRAMMY® nomination for “Song of The Year.” To his most recent and fourth studio album A REAL GOOD KID and 2019 mixtape release Keep Going, featuring special guests Logic, Wiz Khalifa, Ty Dolla $ign, Talib Kweli, ‘Keep Going’ chronicled and commemorated his well-documented and celebrated 3,000-mile hike across America. His most recent return explores depression, self-loathing and isolation by way of a 36-minute rap opera titled Operation: Wake Up.

I remember being 16 years old in rehab for a meth/heroin addiction and, for some reason, Mike Posner's 'I took a pill in Ibiza' music video was one of the only things we could access to watch on the TV. Almost every night, we would turn all the lights off and blast the video in the living room. That was 8 years ago now, and I have lived so many beautiful and bizarre lives since.. but any time I hear that song, I am reminded of that 16 year old girl dancing in the dark with my housemates, feeling love and connection for what felt like the first time. No shame. No judgement... What an honor to be able to connect back and hear some of his story.. To both André and Mike, I am endlessly grateful for your messages and your willingness/mission to share them. My heart is full to bursting knowing that I get to walk this plane at the same time as both of you! So much love!!! P.S. Rest Easy, Dean

We climb the ladder of success to reach the box at the top , just to find out when we reach the top and open the box , ITs EMPTY . It's in the climb , NOT the destination. Learn to FEEL every moment of your aliveness ! Eyes mind heart and soul wide open. NO FEAR !

I think a big issue is our programming especially in the western part of the world..I've learned that instead of making it about a materialistic reward in that box...SEE that box as a reward in itself as a level in a video game that you conquered...And that box unlocks another ladder/level that you have to conquer..I found there's soo many mountains to climb in this physical world..But the most fulfilling mountain is the inner spirtual mountain to explore and level up in.

Thanks Mike for a very thoughtful and vulnerable interview! I really felt it when you said depression, anger, frustration, sadness, etc. stems from us wanting to express love but not being able to express it to the extent we know we're capable of. That is so true and I never thought of it that way before. It was interesting hearing your mindset when coming up with "I Took a Pill in Ibiza". Still love that song but it'll have a deeper meaning next time I listen to it!

You’re such a wonderful interviewer. You hold space for those to share so authentically. I truly just wanted to share that with you 💕 Much love. You, know, it just came to me as I write this now that I would love to share my story with you one day and how my first book of healing and channeled poetry came to be. I feel it would be a sweet and gentle, safe space to share. You gave this man such a wonderful place to help others. What a gift.

This conversation resonated with me so much. Last year marked 10 years of sobriety for me but I felt nothing. It was just another day, which was not what I had expected it to feel like. And so began my search for the “why”. Since then my world has opened up new lines of thought, way beyond anything I had imagined to be possible. 🤍 “As you start to walk out on the way, the way appears.” Rumi ✨

100% respect for André not getting asleep while listening to this high and very, very slow thinking voice. Beside that ... feeling success as torture means this kind of people never felt real torture, like people without any success or real, real pain. Still he is seeking for attention, otherwise his 21day walk would had him realized, thats all in him
