Hey Guys, Great interview with Andrew. I recall when I first encountered his videos many years ago, how his presentation and quick wit seemed so familiar to me...Then and now, he reminds me of someone I expect you may be familiar with on your side of the Pond--Pat Condell. It would be amazing if you could track him down and sit for a chat, though you may have to restrict such an episode to Rumble since he has become somewhat radioactive here on KZfaq over the years.

I hope you are not suggesting that the libertarians (the opposite of Woke in my opinion) don't want power? That would be naive to the extreme. We do tend to think that only progressives virtue signal but that is so far from the truth it is almost insulting. This is a very interesting conversation but not for one second did I think this guy was not peddling the virtues of his side of the culture war.

As a woman this brought up a lot of emotions about how my life has played out, and I have had 3 children. You cannot give the time you want to your kids or family because working for £11/hr you need both parents working full time to live without high levels of money worries and give your family more than just enough. Thank you for this conversation.

My wife and I did it. We thought it was more important for her to be there full time while our three children were in the development years. We simply accepted we were going to get by on less. I still believe it was the right decision. Our children all came out happy and stable and successful.

I think the government should pay mothers for doing the vital job of raising the next generation. On top of their husband's earnings since many men nowadays don't earn enough anyway. Instead they are giving mothers a certain amount of free childcare so that they will go back to work but what about the mothers who just want to be mothers? Why are they discriminated against?

Queen bee stays at home with her kids while muggins the taxpayer picks up the bill? How many people do you think are going to agree to that? If people choose to have kids they should work to pay for them not expect the taxpayer to pick up the bill. If they can't afford them they shouldn't have them.

Jane Austin wrote my favourite female character in “Persuasion”. The character of Anne Elliot is a strong female character but there is nothing masculine about her at all. The recent movie butchered the novel because they didn’t understand her.

One of the best written female characters is Polly from the Peaky Blinders. She's not an irritating girlboss yet maintains a clear authority over her family and business. She's not weak but still feminine, emotional but not irrational. A mature, adult and powerful woman living in a time when women didn't have much political power.

Polly? The woman who throws tantrums and informed a predatory priest who molested *her kid that a murder was coming? If it wasn't for the brilliant Cillian Murphy the show would be nigh unwatchable. The writing and acting is pretty damn awful. Now "The Sopranos"? THAT is a masterclass in writing. *edited from a to her.

One of my favorites is Vanessa Ives from Penny Dreadful. The show went off the rails in the end (and I didn't even bother with the spinoff), but I always loved this description from the creator/writer of the show: "I purposely wanted a female protagonist -- that was the important thing, that my hero was going to be a woman, and a complicated woman. And she wasn't going to be my hero by masculinizing her, by giving her a gun. She was going to be a woman, and a woman in her era, yet be the hero of this piece. She's the strong guiding light around which all the moths gather."

i think Hermione Granger was generally nailed as a heroine in the books and movies. she's super intelligent and does all the reading, like any good studious girl always does in school (unlike the boys) and she is also the emotionally intelligent character who manages conflicts between other characters. she's able to handle herself, but she generally understands her limits and her role and she will let Harry take the lead when it comes to being a hero or warrior - even though she's capable. she's also the moral heart of the group and has the most empathy for others, especially non-human creatures and pets. she's never afraid to actually be a girl or woman, even though she might not be the most "girly" of girls. she's never trying to be a boy or a man, she is her own self

For those new to klavan, he is the GOAT and the quintessential answer to what conservative philosophy truly is and why its right. Not without his flaws but he's a regular 'must listen' (for both the left and right) and to this day speaks more truth than any pundit i've encountered. Edit: His son spencer is also incredible. The world would be a much better place if they were in everyones playlist.

Good point Andrew! “If you are afraid to die, how can you be a rebel.” Now that our country has become atheist, everyone cowers in the face of evil because this life is all people have. As a Christian I don’t fear death the way I did when I was an atheist. There are a lot of things worse than death.

Andrew Klavan says there is no one to "take over" from the Boomers (my generation). He says that's what Lear was about: the king was dying, and there was "no one to take over." That's not true. Cordelia was fully able to take over; it was her very wisdom and Lear's ignorance of it that led to the tragedy. Someone was ready. They were ignored, rejected even. We need to find our Cordelias, and believe them.

Andrew is by far the best of the Daily Wire crew, at least to me. He's the only one I feel like I could actually be friends with. Also, the background sound of the wind blowing leafs around, accompanied by the occasional bird chirp was fantastic. It really made this interview an auditory pleasure as well as an intellectual pleasure.

Im a 63 year old woman, my husband 71, still gets up at six am and does hard dirty work to provide for and advance our family, I know he'd die for us. I'm happy to keep our home clean, provide clean, dry clothes, delicious meals and affection. Im getting a good deal. Its working for us.

What a fantastic interview. Thoroughly enjoyed it. What Andrew Klavan is talking about is something that I saw coming 2 decades ago - that abandonment of faith in a higher power will lead to nihilism which only can lead to chaos and a total collapse in the structure of civilisation. Like he said; "it is the bottom of atheistic philosophy" For the past 12 years I have been writing a novel to capture this very nihilistic phenomenon. The story reveals how true power comes from love not from fear. At the end of the story I offer a solution to the atheistic belief system. Let's not kid ourselves, atheism it is a form of belief. The belief that the individual is the centre of the universe. It isn't; love is. I aim to prove that with my novel.

As a radio presenter I'd often ask callers what they did. I didn't add, '...for a living?' As that would be too presumptuous. Every single homemaker would say, 'Oh, I'm just a housewife'. I didn't let them get away with this self denegration. I'd always contradict their 'just' with, 'it's the most important job there is', but it would often fall on deaf ears. All women have been infected with this thought. The western cultural devaluation of motherhood is a catastrophic mind virus which was birthed in the brains of bored, intelligent, middle class women, who became envious of their husbands 130 years ago. I think atheism gets a bad rep in particular because atheists don't believe in a God, but the current day issues are basically about too many people not really believing in any tradition or cultural belief. And believing in a God and following religion has just been the most common cause that has kept humans going for centuries, and now it's becoming more and more rare so people are wasting time and fighting over stupid things.

@@AbhijeetMishra I'm an atheist myself and I think there are two tiers to atheism. There's the people who don't believe in god but still stick to the traditions of their country and are patriotic, which in a way holds things together. I'd put myself in that group. Then there's the people who don't believe in god but also want to tear down everything to do with their country and it's culture. It's those people who are causing a load of problems.

I was an atheist from age 15 to 35. You may yet get past your doubts. One day, I realized that I needed God and on that day He answered me. It's not as silly as we're led to believe by all the smartypantses. Read a bit of the Bible with some regularity and you may find that the wisdom it contains far, far outweighs the objections skeptics raise about it. Until you have made a thorough study of scripture, keep away from religious teachers: 90% of them are actually fools, just as the atheists claim.

Nah, some things needed to change. We really didn't have free speech as we know it until the 70s, as there were vulgarity and public decency laws in the past. And what counted as vulgarity and public indecency was anything that the dominant culture didn't like. People were actually going to jail for making jokes, or performing music that weren't approved by the conservative Christians. There was a lot that needed to change, and so it did. People look on the past with rose tinted glasses, and they like to pretend that their side is always right, was always right, and will always be right. That is simply impossible for any human, let alone a large group of humans.

I am reading Dostoevsky and he is absolutely hilarious - I really mean that! Some of his novels had me laughing hysterically while others have made me quite pensive. He has an unbelievable understanding of humans! Definitely read his books. Notes from the underground is basically a black comedy of sorts

I was on a date in my house. Sorry not sorry, it was sure thing… She was very thin, nice build, sweet girl, younger then me quite a bit, she got on me and eventually I bit… As we were coming together I asked her a test question, led to a story of three, and she was mid lawsuit… with a bar… for excessive force! I asked what happened? Long story short… she jumped thru the air, punching a bouncer/security guard… who was 325lbs and about my height, 6’0”… I’m 275 Lbs. Why hit fella? He told her to put her drink down as it was after 2am at the bar… she was warned 2X, the third time he took the drink by surprise… no force. So she chased him, grabbed him, and when he turned around she jump punched him 😅 She is like 120 Lbs. He grabbed her. Put her on the floor. Cuffed her. Was she hurt? YES. -Her hand n wrist from hitting him -Her head from it hitting the floor during the cuffing, she got concussion 🤕 -her arm and shoulder during the cuffing She wasn’t hit, not even once. Now suing bar for $100,000k for excessive force. She was proud of herself, and saw her self both as abuser and victim. Her boyfriend was beaten pretty good as he attempted to “protector”. Yes, she had a boyfriend while on my couch 🛋️ in my apartment on a weekend evening. And yes, she spoke of sex acts prior to coming over… I lost all interest upon finding out she was 1 violent, 2 proudly proud of being that stupid. Did I tell her that???? No. She’s too socially dangerous to help educate. I find her thinking very common in many youthful women.

This guy has such an awesome voice. I agree with so much of what he says. I am an atheist, and that will never ever change, but I do think there is a lot of good in Christianity and it’s sad so much of it is lost; especially the social and community aspects. Atheists need to recognise Christianity has much good in it, and Christians need to recognise being an atheist doesn’t mean you have no morals or love for your brothers and sisters.

Wow! Andrew Klavan succinctly explains what I have been thinking. I have a beautiful granddaughter and just about everything out there for play and education erases the value of being feminine....I don't mean lascivious, made-up, fashionable I mean feminine. And accepting of the difference between men and women is frowned upon. Scientific fact doesn't even matter. What a world. 😢

The difference that Andrew isn't acknowledging with Dungeons and Dragons is that D&D is a game characterized by classes. Michelle Rodriguez was playing a barbarian and that's precisely what barbarian's do. Meanwhile, bards (Pine) are of a more supporting class. I agree with Andrew in almost any other case but in terms of D&D, it's pure creativity completely free of whatever limits are established at the creation of that particular game.

"It's all about power" ... and here you fell right into their trap. It's not just about power; it's about evil, too. Knowles is right, at this point good needs to grasp some power, and wield it (like the sword that cut the Ring from Sauron's hand) and then rule justly and with forbearance.

The most profound episode yet. This strikes at the heart of Western decline. 10:02 a society without mothers is a house without a foundation. Also 10:34 "he wants to replace the mother". At 8:50 "this brings together the pieces of ourselves". Will anyone listen? Psalm 128:3 "Your wife shall be like a fruitful vine, In the very heart of your house, Your children like olive plants, All around your table". We now have a culture "dead on the inside", no "fruitful vine", no "heart in the house". Houston, we have a problem.

The comment that he does not accept the premise that "there is no God" I had never heard a religious person actually say and he gained my respect in saying that. I am an atheist and think he is wrong and morals can be derived from first principles like the Golden Rule which has the very logical premise that you really need no faith or higher powers to get to so adding a God to the equation just adds unneeded complexity (at best, at worst a get out of jail free card for sinning and then instantly repenting without actually holding yourself to a high standard because you are "forgiven") to doing your best to treat others as you want to be treated because on average it works out for the best for everyone involved doing that. It means our logical frameworks are totally incompatible but it was a good interview and having a person believe in God actually state it as a starting principle instead of trying to claim morals to justify a belief in God which is a nonsequitur and was refreshing.

Logically, there either has to be an uncaused cause, or an infinite chain of cause and effect. Personally, I'm not convinced that infinities actually exist in nature, just infinite processes. The uncaused cause makes more sense to me. Also, if someone is going to say it's an infinite chain of cause and effect, they might as well be saying God, for all comprehensibility an infinite chain possesses.
