I notice it's actually a very disturbing pattern in the media where Mothers are often either dead or demonized while Dad's are normally protagonists and this pretty much confirms why it's dangerous where you result Men like Andrew Tate since misogyny and patriarchy starts with hating our Mothers no matter how supportive they are and Lionizing our Fathers no matter how abusive they actually are....

Its like the story hes telling was deliberately laced with the subtext: 'I was a hurt and terrified little boy, and in many ways, I still am.'

My mother was mean and hard because she cared about my haircut a little and argued with my distant father. But luckily my father was not mean and hard because he would start shouting matches and say that I was being turned into a bitch and force me into situations that made me cry. He was a true hero, nothing like my mean mommy.

We just gonna ignore the fact that bro was just FULLY trauma dumping on Twitter about his stressful home life as a child? This is such a good example of WHY it's so important to watch what you say and what you do in front of your kids. Cuz alot of us will fully internalize that shit for the rest of our lives.

That accent is on Joey Wheeler levels. “My dad was a 0-100 guy.” “I feared my dad as God himself.” Jeez. I feel bad for young Andrew. The one time you get your dad, he explodes at your mom and puts her down?

Yeah, that “father” (for lack of a better term) was an absentee father who was not a good parent, abused and disrespected his wife in front of their kids, undermined her authority, turned their kids against their mother and weaponized them to piss her off, oh, and criticised her efforts of THE ONLY PARENT WHO STEPPED UP AND DID THE PARENTING. And then his little feelings got butthurt and he left the country abandoning his wife and kids because his fragile ego couldn’t get its way over common sense.

i’m fascinated by how much this thread reads like a backstory sequence that would be in a movie to explain why the main character grew up to be a horrible person with a deeply flawed worldview. like, he really put it all out there with zero sense of self awareness.

I think you can't spout terrible dribble in a serious tone to the internet without believing it somewhat. He might be more of a grifter than a misogynist, but all of that hate might come from a real place. I also don't feel good about the Muslim part. Makes me less proud of my faith that he's following it weather its for branding or not.
