As a Christian woman, I can assume what he is trying to say as a married couple, you are to leave your mother and father and cleave to each other. As a wife, I am I submission to my husband not because I HAVE to be, but because I have the free will to choose to be in submission to him. We are 100% a team, equal in value, but he has the final say, I have to trust him and that he has the best interest of our family in mind with every decision. Thankfully I married a great man, and it’s not hard to want to follow where he leads. The Bible says women are to respect their husbands, and husbands are to love their wives as Christ loves his church.
