Andrew Wright has spent thousands of hours behind the wheel - and inside the bilges - of cats of all shapes and sizes. When the opportunity came to build them for rescue services he couldn’t say no. Now he’s got a fleet of Shockwave Powercats, starting with a 4.2m Power Kitten all the way up to a 12m pilothouse model.

Needs a side dive door. When you are spearfishing the platform between the motors can be lethal if a mistake is made. No skipper is perfect

They actually do have that option, its along the starboard side just before the cabin roughly midships. Its just very hard to see in the video because they've done an awesome job of making it look seemless. They have one on the sea rescue boat in the video :)

The website states the 4.2 kitten is no longer in production. Would love to see these against a sailfish cat.

Sailfish is a ally cat, I was not impressed with the ride compared to noosacat/kevlacat. They have advantage of lighter weight but on water performance is what I am after.

Nothing beats the old shark cat . All others should be compared against them .

Its a bugger that you no longer produce the Power Kitten, as I was/am interested in such products of that size. I currently have a 5.2 Stessl side console; but am downsizing as I get older. Oh well it seems my search continues!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice vid as usual boys. They ain't pretty in my mind. Sniffing around now for a 30ft cat myself. May have to get over there to get a ride in one.

Hull no, bit too old timber clicker looking. Wack a nice colour gel coat in the mould and cover the sucker in a marine wrap and BAM, Angelina Jolie in Tomb Raider. Ugly doesn't mean your friends won't want to ride.

My mono hull is just shy of 50sqm, 12.5x4.1 minus taper to bow and taper to aft :-) Cats should be 1:2 width to length or wider, narrow cats don't make much sense at all IMO.
