Loading 275 gallon totes into a crawler truck then driving to fill them with water. Fixing a track on a skid steer, digging in a small water cave.

Andrew needs to get another lab puppy every year so we know how much time is passing in every video. This has to be the only channel on KZfaq that consistently throws together videos encompassing years of footage and still covering one subject. Kudos Andrew. You do a phenomenal job at this.

@@pootthatbak2578 Dude. You realize I’m not being serious. I don’t expect Andrew to have 12 dogs by 2032. It’s a joke. As well as a lead-in to giving Andrew a serious compliment for how well he is able to document multiple things over the course of years. Catalog them. And then churn out great videos for our viewing pleasure. Overlapping different timelines with multiple videos but each video with a specific topic. It’s incredible.

I don't remember how I stumbled across Andrew's Channel but I've been hooked ever since watching the first or second video. If he does that, he should skip using the totes, and get a buried cistern, as since they no longer need to be moved, he can go much, much bigger, and being buried, they wont freeze in winter. Iirc, a 5000 gallon plastic cistern is around a buck a gallon.

Of course, we were operating on a much more humble scale....18 gallon rubbermaid totes to bale from to fill our 5 gallon bucket "shower" hung from a tree limb.... AND we got the house built without killing each other or getting a divorce!! What a gorgeous part of the country Andrew calls home!!!

Great to see another adventure with you and Samantha, Andrew! Your mountain top sure looks different when the hardwood trees lose their leaves. Would advise lab testing the water before drinking it. Great supply method for washing up though. The line and tank will likely freeze unless you insulate the tote and bury the water line to your trailer below the frost level. My dad built a simple tripod percussion well drilling rig at his cottage through earth but the water was only about 20-30 feet deep there. If you need to go through rock very deep you likely need a diamond bit rotary drill. If you plan to spend a lot of time there a well would be nice. Your videos are always interesting ! 👍👍👍

You have a couple of nice little springs there . That one in the rock shelter looks like it is ready made for a catch basin and maybe a solar pump . It may have had one at one time by the looks of it . Be fun to get the mini up there and clean it out . Done more than a few of those , even mixing mortar up top with a Zipline to lower the buckets of mortar down to the worksite . That was fun . Also , the over flow for both springs could be used for a microhydro system , at least give you a little electricity for the camp site . You certainly have enough fall to build pressure even if you may not have much flow volume .

That tracked truck is so cool, go to be one of my favourite bits of kit. Ideal if your spending time up a mountain. As for the grass seed, they are definitely not the brightest of sparks in that store, keeping grass seed outside in non water tight or air tight containers is never a good thing. In those types of bags they have to be kept in the dry and up of the floor.

We had property in North Carolina years ago and it was beautiful. Had a water spring on the mountain above cabin so we built a basin about three feet high to catch the water all impurities stayed in the bottom. Water flowed down the mountain across the river back up the mountain to the cabin. wonderful water. We used drisco pipe which held up good for the winter we just unhooked it at both ends and waterproofed the cabin and headed the mountain for the winter. Unfortunately due to health had to sell. Kids really werent in to caring for it so no reason to keep.
