I agree, and to find a woman who can keep up with him, and do many of the wild thing's he does, not many out there. You can see they work well together, and are in tune. He should hold onto this girl. As a woman myself, i don't see many woman who build thing's, and work on machinery as i do, and i'm in my early 50's. My dad and grandpa had me doing all kinds of stuff at a very young age. My brother is much younger, but didn't have any interest in building, or fixing. Back when i was growing up, kid's were free labor lol, but it's good, gave me a strong work ethic. Those who know what i'm saying get it. I was also a cook, tv remote, house cleaner, bartender, gardener, landscaper, farm hand, telephone answering service, and coffee maker. G-d bless.

Yet there are almost no unrestored concrete roads or pre 1970 steel bodied trucks commonly around. Steel rusts and frozen water eventually cracks concrete. Nothing in this world lasts forever.

Running a compactor over the dirt couldnt hurt !

@@tnolan3176 and it's hard to compact well around the edges like that where the shoulder is on the house line. I can see on this garage but on anything else I would have laid down a base of 1" gravel then came back with 1/2" to grade it for the slab. But again, I am not criticizing Andrew, He will be an old man before he has any problems with this thing :)

@TiffanySmith-ed2lj If I were a fanboy I would be tell Andrew what a smashing great job he did :) My comments are for those who are thinking of doing this kind of work for themselves and who may not know better. Andrew is very capable of making his own decisions on his jobs.
