“RELEASE YOUR SPEED!” - CRACK the CODE!

Are you READY to create INCREDIBLE SPEED with very little EFFORT! In todays video I’m going to CRACK THE CODE on how you should RELEASE your speed so you can unleash your true GOLFING POTENTIAL!
Do you feel like the HARDER you swing the SHORTER you hit it! There’s a simple reason for that, and in this video we rip the band-aid off and explain exactly WHY you’re not hitting it CLOSE to as far as you should be!
Swinging HARDER and swinging FASTER are NOT the same thing! Swinging HARDER requires EFFORT, TENSION and a HIT REFLEX that leads to an early release.
SWINGING FASTER requires MOBILIZING the joints of your shoulders, elbows and wrists which leads to ACTIVATING the fast twitch muscle fibers. As soon as you engage your JOINTS you’ll take your swing speed to an entirely different LEVEL!
I use three drills that will get you swinging the club freely and RELEASING your SPEED efficiently without placing any unnecessary torque on your body!
Great DRILLS 👇
1 . L to L DRILL
2. TWO CLUB DRILL
2. MOMENTUM DRILL
I also unpack the confusion surrounding FLIPPING, SCOOPING, and DRAGGING and shed some light on the most SIMPLE RELEASE pattern.
It’s essential that you find a release that works FOR YOU! Give the drills a try - I’m confident they’ll help you gain a TON of distance with less effort, and NO more trips to the chiropractor!
Best,
Coach A.

New subscriber here. Your teaching philosophy makes sense to me. There are lots of the body turn people out there. They seem to be trying to teach swings like DJ. I’m in my 50’s and can never get into those positions. I would like to think it’s possible to have a free swing and release of the arms and hands, with the body reacting to that motion. The only fear I have is one you mention. I have lots of tension throughout my shoulders, arms and hands. I think this results from years of bad contact. The body involuntary braces for impact. I have never been able to get rid of this tension when hitting a real ball. I sort of gave up on this years ago. I read Dean Reinmuth’s book Tension Free Golf, but he never really explains how to get rid of tension in a way I could implement. As you point out, the tension is not there when swinging an Orange whip, etc. I will work on it because I feel your path is more realistic for me. Thanks for the videos. Your way of teaching and explaining is outstanding!

Andrew appreciate this video very much. In the swinging action of L to L are your thumbs pointing down the shaft at the ball at impact in the hinge-unhinge-rehinge. Also your comment about swinging to the finish is a really important process in the swing & I would love you to do a video on how to finish a golf swing correctly as I'm sure that this is a perfect indicator on how to swing (not hit) correctly.
@AndrewEmeryGolf

Thumbs point slightly behind the ball at impact due to forward shaft lean dynamics! The key is to ALLOW your speed to go somewhere which is why I’m a huge advocate for the L to L or “Hitchhiker Drill!” Don’t drag the handle! I’m glad you had a “eureka moment!” As far as the kids are concerned - Good grip/posture/ball position. Start with hitting tees with feet together. Once they hit the tee simply put a ball on the tee and have them clip the tee under the ball. Drills - feet together, L to L, Momentum drill. It’s all about rhythm and balance initially. Make sure the clubs aren’t too heavy! And, have fun with them! Nothing like some Dad time on the range. Thanks for watching! Best, Coach A. ⛳️🏌️‍♂️🙏🏻

The longer the. club, the more the tendency to hit at it. Once you throw the clubhead at the ball, it's over. Any finish at all is a fake finish. Swing the entire club. Never lever the clubhead. The ball isn't even there for good players. They know it ain't going no where.

I don’t like to speculate without seeing your swing but I suspect your club face is open!! If it is - you’re going to struggle to square the face! People automatically line up with the club centered behind the ball. Your dynamic swing in my case has the club moving slightly away at bottom of swing. I now start with club a ball width inside target line and slightly back. Now I don't feel like I am trying to hit ball and just letting swing flow. Has anyone else noticed this?

Feels v Reals. Transition spinning is destroying backs and golf swings everyday. Good intention with bad results for so many. The wrists, arms and of course body all play a vital role. What each golfer has to ‘feel’ in order to blend these parts harmoniously will of course vary for each golfer. But for most, the arms swing is lacking as is the correct wrist articulation. All spin (effort) with no speed is a common trait! This video is meant as a remedy for that particular swing affliction. Best, A. ⛳️🏌️‍♂️🙏🏻

@@AndrewEmeryGolf Well put, Andrew. I have a weathered copy of John Jacob’s “Practical Golf.” I recall reading “ Stand facing any good golfer and watch the space between the hands and right shoulder during the downswing. You will see that it widens like lightning.” Jim Flick wanted us to swing the left arm independently. My first lesson was from Homer Snead 50 yrs ago. He began by having me focusing on knees and hips. Today I think he did me no favor, as I put in countless hours neglecting the arms and hands. This is something I will have to dig out of the dirt to find a repeatable feel. Thank you for answering .

Are you suggesting that a klod like me (And I am a klod) should let the hands/ arms control the swing ? Cuz I’ve never been able to get the body to control the swing eg I can’t transfer my weight by using my hips, legs, feet.

I wouldn’t go as far as saying the hands and arms ‘control’ the swing. The body is still the transport mechanism - However, I would suggest that learning to use your hands and arms will dramatically increase your speed v “effort!” Most golfers have excessive tension in their arms and drive way too hard with their body! If this sounds like you then watch some more vids on my channel! And, stay tuned for this Saturday’s vid! It will be an eye-opener! Best, Coach A. ⛳️🏌️‍♂️🙏🏻

Salient points for sure Tim!! The last thing you want is to throw the club or release early! But the speed has to go somewhere. Most golfers have excessive tension and in my experience drag the handle towards them through impact! There’s a marriage between body dynamics and the arm swing - I think the balance lies in blending them! Thanks for watching! Best, A. 🏌️‍♂️⛳️🙏🏻

My coach calls it being “handle heavy” thru impact. Honestly if you turn correctly you cant flip. You release AND turn… the flip comes from slowing rotation down

@emptyt13 handle heavy is perfect. Thanks. Yes I'm now just focusing on my hand path as my swing thought. Just that long arc from set up up to top of backswing then down and through to a full finish. It's a long path. Needs to be executed fully and in rythym. I don't even think about the clubhead. Always swinging in a circle around my rotating torso. Never toward the ball. The clubhead will get there without me forcing it out. It's amazing that little move from the top of a split second flinching the clubhead towards the ball ruins the whole day....lol. Have a great weekend.
