Thank you so much peng you (friend) ! This is exactly what I needed, my touch calibration was off, touch was only going on a slant line, (regardless wherever I touched. It was a total mess worse than your touch screen honestly). But yeah touching with five fingers, bought the touch calibration thingie, and it immidiately went a lot lot better. After like another 2 touch calibrations finally the android head unit was back to normal.

My touchscreen is unresponsive along with soft buttons. Reset was done as well and no change. The buttons that were set from the steering wheel works so that's how I'm able to navigate. Any advice?

you have to identify whether it is a hardware issue or software issue. If touch functionality due to hardware issue, all you can do is to use wireless mouse. If software issue, you can fix by the above video. Cheers and best of luck to you.

have you try getting into Android Setting and adjust it from there? Something like touch sound.... Hope it helps.

Oh I really hope this works for my new head unit that's just suffered the same problem. It's only been installed for a couple of days and suddenly the side buttons stopped working. I'll post a reply once I've tried this - fingers crossed, and thanks for the upload.

@@lavithhcm Unfortunately, it didn't work. When I tried holding all 5 fingers on the screen, after maybe 5 seconds the screen went totally white and had a single, black cross in position 1 on yours. I touched that, then a cross appeared in position 4, hit that, new cross in position 3, hit that, then a new cross in position 2 and hit that. So my crosses appeared individually in a clockwise direction. At this point, I thought I'd get the dialogue box prompt that you got, but I actually got another cross in the middle of the screen so I hit that. Even after this, nothing appeared so I tried the process again, but still no luck. My main screen was working okay however, so I could get into settings where I eventually found the 'Touch Learning' option within the 'Factory Settings' section. That took me to a similar icon menu page where I could select the button I wanted to 'teach' the side buttons from. So I re-taught all 5 side menu buttons and that seems to have worked. FWIW, my car is a 2011 VW Passat estate and it's a Junsun head unit (10.1", Android 12 allegedly) but I'll need to take it back into the garage as they've not fitted the canbus module the kit came with so I can't use the steering wheel controls! Thanks again for your video, without it I'd not have been able to make the connection between what the 'Touch Learning' menu was showing me and getting the side buttons working.

🥰 No... i don't have iPhone. It was taken with my Samsung S20 phone. Old phone though. Anyways, I just take its mp4 file directly out of the phone. Not sure how you do that with iPhone by exporting. If you are iPhone user, can't you just take out the video file directly?

I have a problem with the soft side bottoms on Teyes CC3.. Same problem as yours. Otherwise the rest works. When I try the 5 finger method I am only getting 3 dots instead of 4.! Can’t get it fixed. Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Soft side buttons need to be assigned in the firmware of the unit. Your unit firmware may be different than mine (same IPS screen but different SoC). To acess the setting where u can assign those soft buttons, u can go into "factory setting" where you have to enter password.

not sure I understand what you mean. is it a question? Anyways, I made the video during the physical unit installation into my car dashboard and i might have screwed up the touch setting without knowing thus disabling the side soft button functions. hope it solves your problem.

I have this problem with mine, but we did the five fingers, many times and it didn’t retain the information, it won’t turn off, on my Ford Galaxy there is just the live feed wire to the stereo as there wasn’t the wire where you can have it turn on with the ignition and off with the ignition… we factory reset it and all was well again for a few days, I had to turn it off on the unit before I turned off ignition, but now it restarts with the ignition and I just can’t use the buttons. I can’t turn it off so it is constantly on.., could you help with what the problem might be please? 😊

Ok,first the issue with turning off and on the unit with car ignition switch at (position 2), you can tap in to the fuse box for your own car model. Or better yet, get the "correct" wiring harness for your particular car model. The unit should turn off with car ignition switch off. Solve that issue first.

How does the OEM radio get power from? You have to turn on your car ignitionn switch to ON for the OEM radio to be ON, right? If you can tap the power from that. Don't run 12V live feed to android head unit.

Mine isn't working at all...doesn't recognize any touch input...ran a mouse through the USB and able to move around with it but there's nothing in the settings menu that works to get it to recognize touch inputs. It's like they sent me a bad screen or something.

Yes, u can úse mouse input to get into car factory settings. -> parameter settings -> touch menu settings.

I have attempted to calibrate a few times, but the lower portion of the screen still does not respond to touch in order to calibrate. Any suggestions? I would really appreciate any help at this point

worst case is that you need to somehow use bluetooth/USB mouse to access factory settings page -> touch calibration in order to restore touch. Usually try the method with fingers few times like shown in the video first.

I have the same stereo and I’ve been having a problem with the rear camera. If I turn on the car and I put repairs right away the camera work, but after five seconds or more if I put it in reverse, it’s saying no signal I try and aftermarket camera with a new cables, and it does the same thing any idea what it can be the problem? thanks

@@pelecho when it comes to these electronic ahu, there are usually 2 problems. Either hardware or software! In your case, it works first few seconds and then doesnt after that which tells me 90% it's software issue. Glad it works out in the end for you.

Here is my honest review about the unit kzfaq.info/get/bejne/orF4nqaprr67ipc.html and my latest video about it kzfaq.info/get/bejne/sJ5zhL2JpriUhY0.html which is 7 months from when I first installed in my car. As I said in the video, it might suffer from sunny hot day in the summer, so you might need to use something to cover the screen. Winter is fine with the unit. For me and my old car, it is totally worth it. I prefer to drive in it than my OEM navigation system in 2015 Acura RDX. And if you decide to buy one of these Android Head Units, get the chipset that is more powerful than mine. 🥰

yeah for those you need to go into "Factory Setting" then enter the password for your unit to access. Once in, look for something called Key LED lighting/colour and increase the brightness. You know whats weird? it just happened yesterday that i cant seem being able to change the color as well as the brightness of those side soft buttons on the side any more. Damn Chinese #AHU

What you can do is to use USB mouse connected to android head unit. Use the mouse to go into setting menu and find touch calibration setting in there. Best of luck!

Yes. There is a menu in parameter setting page which is something called touch calibration.

My soft buttons are not working. I tried the 5 finger method but after I map the buttons it doesnt work. I don't know if I need to somehow save the config I've set. If you could help it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks and keep up with these helpful videos :)

When you use 5 finger, did it open up the touch calibration where you need press/touch those red dots in order 1, 2, 3, and 4. It should automatically save the settings after you finish all 4.

Same things is happing to me.. it only allows me to press the first buttion.. when i press button 2 it dosent respond… same with 3 and 4 button

@@SeanKing-jl9xy really in that case, your hardware is failure if it doesnt respond. What i find is that some screen, touch setting is mapped offset meaning you touch it slightly to the right/left of it for it to respond. Final method is to reset if you dont mind loosing all data and settings. If reset doesnt work, return the unit if you can due to hardware failure.

At the end, of touch calibration, my firmware will automatically open soft menu button setting. If yours doesnt open soft menu button setting as in the video, your firmware might be in the car setting-> parameter setting menu. Just try to search for it
