In the final table of 2023 Arsenal and Man city were level on points but Man City had one game in hand. Liverpool were 5 points clear and Spurs 1 point behind us. Lets assume both Arsenal and Man City win all their remaining games, which I not only believe is possible but actually likely. That will mean in 2024 Arsenal have dropped just 5 points, 2 of those away at Man City. Man City will of dropped 6 points, 2 of them at home to Arsenal. So in 2024 Arsenal have actually gained one point on Man City. If somebody had said to me on the 1st of January Arsenal will only drop 5 more points before the end of the season I would of said they were mad. If they had said to me that still wont be enough to win the league I would of said they were insane. From the 1st of January we would of had a 10 point turn around with Liverpool. A 15 point turn around with Villa, who were 2nd at the time. And a 13 point increase over Spurs. Our form has been remarkable, unforetuneately probably just not quite remarkable enough to over come a magnificent Man City side. Absolutely no shame in that. And anyone who tries to suggest Arsenal have been anything other than that is simply a.........they know what they are but sadly I wouldn't get away with saying it here.

The big difference is Utd would only make one big signing with few promising ones mostly. Where city since around 2013 consistently made 3/4 big signings. Utd never had two top/top players for every position. That’s why city have been so dominant. There has never been a squad like it. Not enough teams hate man city. Aston villa was super motivated to beat arsenal. Back in Man United era there was always some teams that would go 120% for one game because that was their trophy for that year is beating United, Liverpool or Arsenal. Nobody ever seems to put that level in against city. Klopp's +90 point teams would win All but 5 premiere league seasons. If arsenal get 92 points they would win all but 7 seasons. Man United only had more than 90 once. If you get plus 90 points and loose season then realistically how much more can you do when by points in single season you are 8th best team ever to play in the Prem.

In the 16/17 season Spurs scored the most goals and conceded the least goals in the league as well as losing the least games, doesn't mean they were the best team in the league because Chelsea finished 7 points ahead

How does it not make sense to say you haven’t won the league because another team is too good? Is that not the only reason that you don’t win the league that those other teams are better and are too good? Because if you win, then the other team were not too good. When Liverpool lost the league by one point they were by all accounts one of the best teams in Premier League history and they didn’t win because city were too good. The logic of dismissing that you didn’t win the league because the other team was too good makes absolutely no sense. This is a competition. That’s literally the only reason you don’t win. The difference between the top teams and the bottom teams is how many teams are too good.
