I'm 53 yrs old and I have Parkienson Disease Throat Cancer and Lung Cancer and medical problems to many things, I was raised in a Church and I drifted away from it, but a few months ago I gave my heart and life back to the Good Lord and now I feel a sense of peace that I haven't had a really long time, and now I often think about my Mom fixn gravy n biscuits before Church on Sunday morning, so now that my life is coming to the end, I can close my eyes and humbley Thank Jesus for this amazing life and I know in my heart that I soon will be there, with Jesus and Momma, and for me if that what's in Heaven, well I'm not afraid to die, so I hope and pray if anyone out here needs to talk, just hit your knees close your eyes and humbley ask Jesus for a hand and I promise you he'll pick you up and walk with you, and you be afraid anymore!

December 31, 2004, my son, Brayden, passed away, he was 8 yrs old. He is an Angel! He had Down Syndrome and taught me and my family what it is to LOVE... We put this song in his memorial service and it was extremely moving. There was a pic of him and his Grandpa with a cherry pie with this song. It made everyone tear up. I thank Andy Griggs for this song and the Lord for giving Brayden to us regardless of his disabilities or medical issues. Down's babies are the MOST loving babies...

I love & miss my job taking care of them & the elderly...my bookends of life I call them. This virus took that away & haven't managed to get back where we were yet. . . Rest in blessed peace to your sweet Brayden. He'll be meeting you in Heaven first with huge smiles & True happiness forever this time. 💗🙏🏽💗

I had lost my grandmother while I was out of town on a business trip..trying to get home in a timely fashion was a challenge and everything started to go wrong.. when I finally was able to get on a plane I was very distraught and pretty much an emotional mess.. this song came on while I was listening to headphones on the plane.. I was alone and this song was very comforting for me.. sad and made me cry but yet provided some comfort on that journey home.. especially when I heard "Don't cry a tear for me now baby.."

Your not alone. I’ve lost my younger sister, my Mom, Dad, Step-Dad, all my grandparents. Lost too many friends to count. I’m not supposed to be a survivor but for some reason, The Lord blessed me with them for a short time. Stage 4 throat cancer, stage 4 lung cancer and then the “widow maker” heart attack. God saw me thru it all. I’m 54 and have more than I need and way more than I deserve. Yea, I cry a lot. But it feels good sometimes to have a drink and recline back and go thru my favorite music.

If heaven is all of these things that Andy described then I know that your are enjoying yourself, I sure do miss you SO MUCH!!!! You were there for me when I needed to be corrected, you were there for me when my relationships broke up and you were there for me to give me advice on life and how to stand on my own two feet and be the man you raised me to be. You have been the one constant thing that loved me unconditionally with no strings attached and let me make mistakes so that those same mistakes would make me stronger and wiser. Thank you for raising me to be the man I am today. Mama, we didn't have much money or material things but we sure had a lot of love to go around. This was my Pepaws absolute favorite song. I remember it coming out and not long after we had to play it at his funeral. It majorly sucked. I was 8 yrs old. This song and "Help Pour Out The Rain" by Buddy Jewel remind me so much of him and his life. He died doing what every country man liked doing, hunting. God took him in November of 2004 during deer season. When they found him, he had a smile on his face and his rifle and deer next to him with mine and my grandmothers picture in his hand. He is the greatest man to ever live and I miss him more n more every year. And I wish he was around to know his first great grandbaby who is born to his first granddaughter. Miss you Pepaw. And yes I know, the pumpkin wagon is coming for me.

This song is so great. I lost an entire generation. 8 people in 4 months. My grandpa and I werent very close but we were close enough that it affected me so much, My Great Aunt helped raise me, She ment the world to me. I hate having to say goodbye to all of these great people. But someday, I will see them again.

My son was maybe 1 or younger I couldn't get him to stop fussing in 2007. No matter what I tried nothing worked this song came on the radio and I sang to him and just held him and rocked him. He finally started calming down. I still till this day tell him this was the first song I ever sang to him and the only thing that would calm him down. He is now 17 and 6'5

I lost a best friend when I was 5 or 6 (first grade). He had the same disability I do. & 14 years later (I'm 20) I still think of him everyday. My heart still aches for my best friend but I know he's no longer in pain. The braces & wheelchair are gone & I know one day I'll see him again & even if I'm old & gray he'll know it's me & we'll spend hours just running through the fields together like we always wished we could. R.I.P. Anthony Hoffman. I live everyday to the fullest for you my friend!
