My dad died 4 years ago at the age of 69 within 5 months of getting a cancer diagnosis. I was 34. When you face your mortality like that it's a game changer. The Lord really worked on my faith and it was battle. You can turn to the Lord for help or you can curse him. Some ask for help but others don't. You can get angry at God, you can cry out to Him, but in the end he's right there with you holding out his hand to help and his arms to hold you. God bless.

I have never had any issue with getting older. I celebrate each year I get. I have raised 3 Kids and now have 3 grandkids. I celebrated my youth. As I was getting older I was celebrating my children's youth, now I celebrate my grandchildrens youth. I have not had a reason to feel bad about getting older, by the way I'm 48 and will be 49 in about 16 days and I'm excited about it!

Time is more of perspective thing which is why it’s hard to tell younger people to give things time. Tedashi was talking bout putting away 200 dollars for ten years as a teenager, that time period is over half their life so it’s really hard for a young person to consider that long term plan when they don’t have that perspective.

I got around to watching this video, it dropped four days ago... but as i'm im approching the 6 minute mark in this video i'm just thinking of what did i just witness in such little time.. the song itself was unique but my point in this comment is how tedashii was just speaking but sounded audibly great, you feel his emotion and how he explains himself. really special special, and something stood out to me around the late five minute mark about how he described he is visual and felt like he saw Andy with a birthday cake n that. God bless you all 777.

- Jermaine I talk about this all the time. I'm 37 and still have a system with 1 15" in my car. My brother who's 41 said he will be slumpin in his whip at like 60 plus... Millennials & young Gen Xs are the first generation to age with hip hop. We don't know what it looks like to age with hip hop because we've never really seen it. I'm not talkin bout the Kool & The Gang Era. I'm talkin early 90s and up when 808s got really popular. Previous generations prolly listened to more jazz when they got older and we don't. It's like the new normal. Like at what age do you say "I'm too old for hip hop?" Oh that's right, you don't. I just caint see myself rockin a kango with a shorts set listenin to Kenny G just because I hit 40. LOL Nothin wrong with a lil jazz every now and then, but yall know what I'm sayin. 🤣

if you guys haven’t already considered it, and y’all have the time it would be nice if this was a consistent podcast not just centered around the songs. I don’t think that part should be removed but y’all have great conversations. Even the flow and energy is refreshing, y’all give each other time to process and think before just talking, and all of your guest have had wise inputs based on their personal experience. It’s seems genuine to me, a lot of podcasts now seem like they have to be entertainment but this doesn’t feel like that. Y’all bring up God in a natural way too, it’s not forced into the conversation y’all have fruit and it shows. Maybe even bring your wife’s in the mix to bring a female perspective. Anyways good stuff thank you.

Thats whats wack about rap these days, is people downplay you for your age. I always remembered the rappers from late 90's - 2000's being mid 20's and barely making it or already looking close to late 20's or the early 30's n it was no prolem.

I'm gonna tell Andy sth straightforwardly and that is your music should boost people's mood, just giving them an uplifting music experience. At this point, I suppose Andy holds the view that he's a philosopher. He delivers lectures in his recent songs 😂😂😂😁. Come on... you're just a rapper from N.W.C. not a philosopher...

30 is old? My, my, my,... what's going to happen if dude lives to 40? Is that ancient? Lol! Society really has us messed up a little mentally if we think we're old and washed up at 30 years old. Why do we let the world devalue us simply off of physical attributes? What do we think God thinks? A 30 year old is still a baby to Him....lol! On the real, we need to keep reminding ourselves of God's perspective. If He gave you a gift and you're able to use it....USE IT! We need to stop thinking about older age in a negative way because it's disrespectful and ungodly. Besides, almost everything in this world is ran and owned by older people. The only thing young people run are trends and social media. BUT....those same owners of social media will be old one day just like Steve Jobs got older and was still innovative. No, you can't skate by on your looks for too long, but the mind lasts a lifetime...for most, lol!
