Andy Mineo

4 жыл бұрын

Andy and the crew come together to discuss the tension between technical ability and feel when delivering an end product. This conversation will reveal the untold story behind the two versions that existed before the release of Andy’s “I Ain’t Done”. Exploring cultural movements like punk-rock and new-age cinema the team will uncover the beauty of sometimes going with the “feel” of a thing. This conversation will also cover anxiety and self-doubt as referenced in the track. Podcast Guest: Cristina Mineo

I am loving the podcasts of Andy being vulnerable with us about what he feels internally. Having his wife on an episode proves the point that who you marry matters. Clearly shows why Andy is as successful as he is. Great episodes!

What an awesome example of humility on Christina’s part...to acknowledge that she couldn’t help him but simultaneously recognize his needs AND offered a solution...selflessness. This is what love looks like. Such a protector of his heart! Proverbs 31 speaks of that being a wife’s responsibility. This is encouraging to see. ❤️

I've been following Andy for 7 years now and what I like and what I'm grateful for are the times that he shares something vulnerable that happens to be insighful for me and just resonates to me. I'm grateful for these interviews because I relate to a lot and what he says gives me solace and hope. So thanks Andy and everyone who helped this kind of content get out for us to learn from 😊

I connect with I ain't done so much! I listen to it when I either have pain (chronic illnesses) or when I'm going into a test or interview that I need to ace. It pumps me up so much! I used it for a midterm during my undergrad degree for a test I wasn't sure if I would pass and I got an amazing score on it! I ended up passing the class because it pumps me up so much! The beam version is so fire! Also, we want the merch! Your I ain't done juice pins are amazing! My sister and I went to your coming in hot tour in Minnesota and we both got one! Amazing work! You are my favorite artist! I cannot tell you how much your music means to me. Also, Family Photo really touches my sister and my hearts. Our dad has been out of the picture since my parents got divorced when I was 3. We're not married yet, but I know that my sister and I have talked about if we'll invite our dad and if he'll actually show up. I know all the words to that song. It's helped heal me in ways I didn't think were possible and I just thank you so much for helping me heal through your music and your own experiences with your dad. Thank you so much for putting music out that is so amazing! Keep up the amazing work!

Hey brother Nick here, first and for most I just wanna say much love and respect to u andy, God has given u a awesome talent to create music I am also a born again rap artist been doing it for 13 years I dont have a following and I dont know what God wants to do with the future music I put out but I just want to say always go back to the cross and go deep into prayer and that is when your prayers will turn into worship where God can use you as a vessel to speak to his people, the music is not for us as much as it is to glorify Christ and minister to his people about who he is in our hearts God bless you brother!

This really got me thinking how down to earth Andy is, ngl he might not be a mainstream rapper but I always thought that Andy had some mad sauce, I though he was untouchable but just hearing that he sits down with random people and still shows them his music/ comparing his mix to Beam’s mix shows me that he’s a regular but passionate dude. Thank you so much for being this open Andy, I hope I can meet you in person in the future.

Dude(s) and lady. . to the marriage bit. its crazy how often i hear high level athletes say things like "i dont have a wife so i can focus 100% on the sport". . and everytime i hear that it kills me because I just wonder how much BETTER they would be if they didn't think like that. Now granted, i'm not saying you can succeed at the level of a married person as as single person. But, perhaps a hot take, there is something about maybe what the bible calls a three cord strand not being easily broken. That is particularly true in marriage. So minimally I appreciate that yalls voice is also permiating the same space as voices that might look at marriage as a hinderance rather than freaking jet fuel

If it weren't for my wife, I wouldn't have my job and I wouldn't be half as successful as I am (not saying I'm a huge success). But I am so thankful for my wife. She helps me stay on track and she calls me higher. She's got strengths that fill in my weaknesses. I've also noticed that the longer I am married to her, the more I become like her and get stronger in areas that I am weak (2 become 1)

This one is a good cast, just remember Andy prayers are everything, God let’s you go through stuff to built u up for another assignment our lord wants you to do for him. He won’t let you go through something if he didn’t feel you couldn’t handle it. You just have to go through that storm, and the good thing is you not alone your wife is with you brother. another thing about it,may be to built your wife as well. Or to make your marriage stronger. Love your music man. I’m happy for you to be able to come out and speak about it. I’m a dj/rapper just have not got my break. And I struggle with that. But I have faith I will get that break. Andy’s original version is way better, I do like Beam’s touch on the other but it just doesn’t feel the same as Andy’s. Also I believe Andy’s father not giving him the words of affirmation he was looking for growing up or the encouragement has caused him to be insecure with his art and feel like he’s gotta get that affirmation from his peers and fans now. I hope and pray God heals him of that and he is reminded that he just needs to focus on pleasing God.

It seems to me that the whole purpose of the whole episodes in these podcasts is solely to boost and uplift Andy mineo's self-esteem and generally speaking just to give him a fantastic feeling about himself. He seems to be too emotional and somewhat effeminate. He's your type of fella who needs approval and admiration constantly. He's the exact opposite of old tough rappers coming from particularly N.Y.C. They would pull themselves together, no matter what. A lot of the issues which are mentioned in these podcasts about Andy are not really that knotty ones. I respect his music to a great degree, but the way I reckon he's indeed high-maintenance. Every subtle thing gets his mind preoccupied. Those around him need to constantly remind him that he's doing a bang-up job and so on... The time I was a teenager, rappers were used to be a lot more resilient and tougher. They got whatever it took. It was just my two cents, though.

12:30 Not a fan of either one. Jay-Z is way overhyped. What's Jay-Z talking about? What is he really about? The Beatles you can make an argument that their music was revolutionary but revolutionary and good are two different things. No doubt they have a few all time great singles but the greater majority of it is not good especially when they got lost in the Hari Krishna stuff. I'll take The Rolling Stones all day over them (even their hits). They stayed true to their blues roots and didn't get too lost in the sitar acid trips. Its an unpopular take but its also true.
