Thanks Andy! I love the detail of 1/16 scale. I am learning so much more about the Sherman Tank and the engineering behind it. I had thought since we were outmatched much of WW2 that it was not a good design. I see now I was misinformed, or came to the wrong assumption. Thanks for your energy and devotion to detail and the hobby!! I am about half-way through building this kit.

Looks great just like that, the details really stand out. I've never pre-assembled a kit prior to painting, although I can see the advantages, especially on this size kit, of getting good fits. Anxious to see how you paint a fully assembled kit.

Andy way to go. Just got my kit up here in Canada. Never built 1 16 and so far going great. Amazing fit and detail and not as big I thought at first. I'm in the middle of working on this kit. It's all about 2 things...building up those 154 track links at 3 pieces per link and then all of the myriad of small fiddly bits. It's hard to decide on when to actually glue the bits in place for fear of knocking them back off. I'm really enjoying this kit, it has gone together very, very well so far. I'm done with the lower hull, wheels, tracks and bogeys and am now almost finished with the upper hull and then on to the turret! I bought the aftermarket .50 cal that Andy sells for this kit. It's going to look great.

Hi Andy I'm From Scotland and just wanted to say what a superb job on this sherman! I've just had mine arrive about an hour ago and looking over the sprues it's absolutely beautiful! Never expected the Breach in the turret etc the 50 cal is lovely nicer than takoms 1.16 jeep one, I also got that last Thursday! Camera just doesn't do the Size justice does it! Never seen a cupla the size of an Oreo before probably bigger and a Turret is a monster! I've just about finished weathering Tamiyas new Comet so I'll be cracking on this very soon! Just bummed out at the Tiger that's going to be Twice the Price!

Man, as a Sherman fan I have got to order me one! Well done!

What a great kit!! One comment: The instruction booklet is missing putting on parts R6 and R7 in step 5 or 6. In step 6 the parts are placed on the model. Further a damm fine kit in 1/16! Well done. Greetings from Holland!

Fantastic sir. Spent time at Ft Knox working on their easy 8 and started a GAA rebuild for the Oh Henry, but couldn't finish because it all moved to Ft Benning. Let's see if aftermarket GAA kit comes out.
