Tooooooo many use Christ's forgiveness as liscence to sin, how insulting to Jesus Christ, hence look at the state of our world in these last days before Jesus Christ returns...thank God... we have to recognise and learn that sin gives us grief, hurt, trauma, pain and death... but God has a promise to remove these if we listen and abide by His moral and righteous laws for Love, Justice, Peace and Faith... Genesis 2:17 ' do not Positively Die ' from eating bad/evil knowledge from the Tree of Good and Bad... so much bad knowledge fed through entertainment, media, advertising... May people realise this is not God's way for the glory, rapture of His Love... Truth 🕊💖🕊✨✨✨✨

I came to Christ almost a year ago. My weakness, fear, and anxieties almost brought me to the brink. This message gives me new life everytime. It’s all Jesus. It’s all Him. He’s got it, and He loves me. Anxiety is a sin I’ve struggled with since I was a child, I know how offensive it is to him and yet he is so gentle with me. I often wonder if people who had abusive fathers commonly struggle this way. When I was a child I had to take the wheel when my father drove drunk. Now I try to take it from Christ when I get scared instead of trust him. I’m not dodging responsibility for my actions, I’m still responsible for it. I need to learn how to trust. My life depends on it. LORD please teach me to trust you, please heal me from the anxiety and PTSD. Please teach me to love you through it when it comes. I’m so sorry for my fear and cowardice. I wanna be brave. Please fill me with your spirit. Edit: Thank you so much. Thank you everyone for your comments and encouragement. I love you all.

I am so glad to hear that you have committed your life to Christ, and that you are learning what it means to trust him. He is so good, as you said. For myself, the journey has been wonderful. The Devil, on the other hand, makes sinful practices appear appealing, but it always end up devastating. He doesn't want us to look to Christ, but the end result of not looking to Christ is very sad. So as we learn to trust the Lord, and to obey him, knowing that he has a wonderful plan for us, the result is precious fruit. There is nothing as awesome as truly following Christ. And of course, we don't follow Christ because of how it makes us feel, but because of who he is - the Lord, the king, and rightfully on the throne. So don't give up. It does take some time to, usually, to overcome a lifetime of bad habits and sinful practices. But, it is worth every step of overcoming self. Dying self, taking up our cross, and following Christ. Keep looking to Christ, learning, and growing!

Your willingness is precious in His sight. I have had trouble myself. I started going to Celebrate Recovery, Christ centered for habits, hurts and hang ups. It is great and theres a lot of caring people who have struggles themselves but have found help and strength, and overcoming it through it and Christ. Many have food before the meeting as well. It's totally worth it. I'm always looking forward to the next meeting. Now, if I can just find work, I'd be even better. I will trust in Jehova Jireh, our provider. Know he didn't come to condemn, but to save us. Do we even understand the depths of His love, mercy and compassion? Celebrate recovery has helped me, I know that it will help you. It's a safe place to share what is going on in your life and receive the help and prayers of people going through similar things. You're not alone, people just hide their struggles, appearing to be great to others, but wrestling with things on the inside. The Lord bless you as you seek His will.

My dear child, NEVER LET YOUR FAITH BE DETERMINED BY THE CIRCUMSTANCES IN YOUR LIFE. IF THE SON THEREFORE SHALL MAKE YOU FREE, YE SHALL BE FREE INDEED. JOHN 8:36 The hardest thing to comprehend as a new Christian is understanding we can't do this thing called life by ourselves. Nor can we lean on our own understanding (that's a hard one, cause we have to understand things in our journey down life's road) it's when we get off the narrow path and start adding our preconceived notions where we start to error. Well God must think this about me, or i just can't match up to his standards.. do you see my connection? In a simpler form i will say " our brain cannot fully understand what God has in store for us. 1st Corinthians 2:9 read it for yourself. It is not what you do that gives you Christ's Salvation..that IS ACHIEVED only by GOD'S GRACE. THE VERY FACT THAT YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THE NEED TO PLEASE GOD, THE VERY FACT YOU EVEN CALL UPON GOD, THE VERY FACT YOU EVEN TYPED YOUR MESSAGE, IS PROOF GOD HAS CALLED YOU TO CHRIST..YOU ARE ONE OF HIS SONS SHEEP. AND HE WILL NEVER LEAVE YOU. When you have your bouts of anxiety or depression remember God is still God and if you trust him and his plan for you (you then begin to strip away the power the anxiety and PTSD has in your life) remember the christian walk is a life long process.. pray, read your bible ALOT.. Confess your sins, go to a church that actually teaches, verse by verse of the bible. Have fellowship with other Godly believers (this is so important) and ask God to show you the ministry of serving him.. visiting the sick, helping the poor, hand out bible tracts, and encouraging others. When you're down i find nothing brings one out of it faster than helping those in worse shape. Best prayers to you dear child. Don't be so hard on yourself. God loves you.

Praying for you, friend. In the end, confession and faith is what will save you. "Because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." (Romans 10:9). And then, obey Christ. "If you love me, keep my commandments." (John 14:15)

@@kogabrigazaime When you find salvation by faith in Christ, I would like to hear. I do not doubt that you will find Salvation if you are seeking. _“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you."_ (Matthew 7:7) Keep reading the Bible, praying, and listening to books like this (Dwight Moody's audiobook The Way to God is very good as well). If you have sins that exist as a barrier between you and Christ, confess them to Christ; or if you don't even know what those sins are, ask Him to reveal it to you so you know what to confess and give up for Him. Nevertheless, we come to the cross with our burdens and cannot release ourselves up or burdens until we come to the cross. I believe that you will find salvation if you seek the Lord with all your heart. He promises that, and my own experience has been the same.

This is where faith comes in. Satan will do everything to convince you God is not real, He doesn’t love you, you’ll never be good enough for God, and a million other lies. But God loves you with an everlasting love, Jeremiah 31:3, and as you grow in your relationship with God, your trust in and love for Him will deepen and flourish. And remember, don’t rely on your ‘feelings’ because they deceive us. Stand on what you know to be true even if you don’t always ’feel’ a certain way. Be blessed!

Cry out to the Lord and seek Him with all your heart! Ask Him to grant you the Gift of repentance , faith & salvation - call until He answers. Realize it’s all Him by grace, nothing you do-- this is the work of God --that we believe on Jesus Christ His life & work on the cross … repent of your sins and turn from them- looking unto Christ

@@Wombwell19 To come to Christ is to come to the end of yourself By denying ourselves and truly surrendering our life to Jesus, is to let go of our former way of living, in sin and disobedience to the Lord God, to accept it has come to an end. And by believing in Jesus’s death and resurrection on the Cross, that your former self died alongside Him, by truly surrendering to Him to be Lord and Saviour over your life, and to truly have a repentant heart that wants to honour and serve the Lord - by giving up your life to Jesus - this is the beginning of finding your true life within Him This is where true freedom is, “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord”Romans 6:23 So though you used to live in slavery to sin, which reaped nothing but death, you’re now, through faith and the receiving of the Holy Spirit set free- instead a slave to God - this leads to holiness where in the end it reaps eternal life You’re free from all bondages and strongholds that was keeping you prison from entering into His light and love. Isn’t that wonderful? “The Spirit of the Lord God is upon Me, because the Lord hath anointed Me to preach good tidings unto the meek. He hath sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound” Isaiah 61:1 “For whoever the Son sets free, is free indeed” John 8:36❤️ I hope this helps, God bless

Friend, you are in a good place, to have a heart for change. I was thinking about what Jesus said, that whoever wants to follow him, should deny himself, take up their cross, and follow Him. The problem with sin is that it binds us, and it can be hard to break free. Possible, with faith and being willing to give up everything, no matter how hard it may be to the flesh. Always remember, with Christ who strengthens us, all things are possible (no matter how much the flesh cries out in protest).

It's almost 1 am , 23 Jan 2024. I am listening to parts of this amazing teachings over And over. The chapter on Grace is astounding, simple truths that have freed me from ignorance of God's will. Why have I not realized this truth before now? Thank you Pastor Spurgeon.

so thankful God thru his spirit convicted and drew me the day I was saved !!!! I didnt even plan on being in church the day I was saved , I was in Jean's. my wife and I were separated for a few days or a week or so , I was broken and felt I had lost everything , we were married only a few months prior , I had been going to a little church on a gravel road and heard the gospel preached powerfully but didnt really know how to respond until the marriage separation and brokenness got my attention, I showed up to church and his Spirit hit me with conviction and after a while trying to hide my tears I hurried up front and fell to my knees and cried out for the Lord to save and forgive me with a broken and contrite spirit and , I did not pray any prescribed prayer , just salvation and forgiveness is what I prayed for in my Jean's and tennis shoes and a gray shirt , not that it matters what we are wearing . thankfully God sees the heart !!! blessed be the name of the Lord !!!!!!

I’ve been saved for about 10 years now and this is exactly what I needed to hear. I’ve grown so much and overcame so many vices but many of my old stubborn sins still remain and for some reason I felt discouraged lately like God was losing patience with me, or like “I should know better by now” and I imagined his patience growing thin with me. When I receive any form of blessings from him I have been confused and felt so unworthy. Truly it is amazing the way he does justify the ungodly, and how he does accept us as his own children. I feel so encouraged by this to get back out there and share my faith and keep trying to do his will! Amen for this book!

I am fortunate in this life to listen to such great teaching of the Word. This is one of God’s General. Authentic teaching including a few Charles Finley, Moody, Myles Munroe , Smith Wigglesworth. Jesus died 2000 years ago. He took our sins away. Once we accepted Christ as our Lord and Saviour he resides in us. We are not living in the flesh but of the Spirit. Romans 8:9. Everything has been given to us already. Salvation is a gift. The Holy Spirit is our greatest teacher. Never give up. Jesus loves us all.🙌

The reminder throughout the first or second chapter that Jesus died for the ungodly, so look to him and be saved, how he brings forgiveness and repentance. The last chapter or so he shares how Jesus is exalted at the right hand of God and still governs all that happens using the bitter and the sweet to create in me a better mind towards God. The enemy wants us to focus on our trials that come as a means of discouragement, and if we only focus on the trial it does bring discouragement. We need to keep looking to Jesus, and contemplate the cross, how much he suffered so that we can be saved from God's eternal wrath that is coming, that creates greater affection for the savior and a desire to honor him in all that we do. Look to Jesus, Look to Jesus, Look to Jesu. 😊

I give all the glory to Him. All praise and worship belong to God. He is real. He is bigger than any problem you face. He will meet you where you are at. Even right now. (Romans 10:13) For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Currently I'm experiencing a demonic attack. But I am standing on The Word of God which says I have authority over devils and we are commanded by Christ Jesus to drive/cast them out. So I'm will continue to drive them out in The Name of Jesus Christ. Friends I implore you to do the same. The devil doesn't want us thinking it's real. We have authority over it! All of them. I feel so condemned in myself. I did my 3 year Ministry and had so much passion in me. I got sick and battle to walk and lost my car and can't get to a church My work are draining me to survive and feels If I'm lost. Please pray for me. I believe that the Lord allows things to happen to us, to test us. To see if we understand that is all about him, and not about us. That doesn't make those experiences fun, but to know that it is a time of testing does help. Keep looking to the Lord and praising him, no matter what. He will work out the details as he wishes, and he is good. His plans are ultimately wonderful.

Suppose the truth lies somewhere in the middle - not worshipping the church and thinking that the building saves us, but still going to church for the fellowship of the saints. I for one believe all of the Bible, and thus this is true: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. We could meet in homes, yet homes are built by men too, and small groups just as prone to theological error.

That God chose an elect group is clearly stated many times in Scripture, and that this elect group WILL be saved: The question is, did God limit, or block salvation for the non-elect? If salvation is not “ available to all”, then what does the Bible mean by saying God wants ALL to be saved, and Jesus, when He said concerning salvation, “ Whosoever “?

those saved are considered the elect. Those who come to him inherit all that he promises, and are all that he says they are. the only way anyone comes to God is only by God himself calling them, which is through a humble and broken spirit. God knows those who will challenge and question his soveriegnty. Its stumbling over mere knowledge of man, rather than just submitting to all that he says. No one can come to God unless their pride is broken, and they realize He is the only hope, thats where He met me.

Thanks for posting this. This message is sorely needed today. It is so fundamentally crucial to be understood today. Faith. Not only is the gospel under attack today, but the method of the apprehension of that gift has been under attack. “Ask Jesus into your heart…”, “Make Jesus the Lord of your life…” “Come forward and commit your life to Christ…” etc., etc. All are false responses to the work of Christ and the gift of salvation. After all, Man is dead in trespasses and sin. What life does he have to “commit” to Christ? God needs to give us life through His Spirit.

So beautifully written. I will buy the audiobook because I loved listening to Mr. Spurgeon’s voice. His words comforted my soul! CHRIST DIED FOR ME😢😢😊 However, blasphemy is one sin that is unforgivable. We must believe as children believe. He puts it so simple & explains it so that you see how easily one can live under the shadow of of the ALMIGHTY and trust in the LORD. HE will wrap his feathers around you and under HIS wing you will trust psalm 91

Dear Ben, You and I will not ‘solve’ the mystery of God’s sovereignty and man’s ‘ free will’: As I see it, we can only accept what Scripture clearly says regarding both. This I KNOW, according to Scripture: God is Love, and God is Just! And I am not more loving and just than God: If I care about the lost, SURELY, God cares about them!

You tell some cool campfire ghost stories. I especially like the ghost stories about talking snakes, magical dirt men, magical ribs, magical fruit, food falling from the sky, talking donkeys, Noah's magic zoo boat, ghost sex, zombies, magic hair, magical goblins, giants (Bigfoot), Elvis Presley post-death sightings, 900 year old humans, and a man who lived in a fish. You tell those Magic Realm ghost stories so effectively that it got those noobs scared of the Boogeyman!

@@rkooyers I've found it interesting that people who don't like God still believe in spiritual beings, and how they use God's name in vain. Don't you think it's more about trying to eliminate God than it is lack of acceptance of the reality of God?
