PARTS
The parts of ANFD are Motor, Gear box, inlet line, N2 line, sight glass, Man hole hydraulic operating manhole, Unloading chute , Dust collector, PT, TT, agitator shaft, Utility jacket, Filter bed, Filter chamber, Filtrate ML’s collection port

HAZARDS
Explosions from uncontrolled chemical reactions due to overpressure or heat release from exothermal reactions.
Falls from height during maintenance work at ANFD.
Electrocution from defective portable electric equipment, or due to work with defective electrical installations.
Exposure to hazardous substances due to a sudden release of toxic materials from ANFD.
Fires during work with flammable substances and/or due to release of flammable gases during operation.
Static electricity due to powder material dispersion or improper earthing or bonding.
SAFETY CONTROLS
1. Responsible supervisor & operator must be available at the time of ANFD operation
2. Only Flame Proof (FLP) electrical equipment used in the process area.
3. Temperature transmitter, Absolute Pressure Transmitter, Low Level switch and High level switch are provided to monitor process parameters such as temperature, pressure and level respectively.
4. Process Safety Interlocks (BPCS- Basic Process Control System (BPCS) to stop chemical additions and heating sources in case any temperature raise, pressure raise and agitation failure.
5. Nitrogen padding to the ANF is provided to remove oxygen.
6. Double body earthing is given to all Agitated Nutsche Filter for discharging the static electricity.
7. Flange to flange bonding’s for all flammable solvents transferring lines to avoid static accumulation.
8. Earth rite system is provided for the bags to monitor the earthing continuity.
9. Proxy sensor to the discharge manhole to avoid rotating hazard.
10. Permit to work (PTW) and Lock-out Tag-out (LOTO) procedures are followed in the process to control high-risk and hazardous energy sources activities
EMERGENCY HANDLING SYSTEMS.
Portable fire extinguishers, Fire hydrant system, Foam sprinkler , Swing fire hose reel ,Safety Relief Valve and Rupture disc provided for ANFD and vent is connected to dump tank & scrubbers SCBA and required PPE .
